The MCU's youngest and most charming Avenger is Spider-Man, the boy bitten by a radioactive spider. Tom Holland's Spider-Man is an inexperienced but tough fighter who learns much on the fly, and he was Iron Man's apprentice for a time. Spider-Man often fights alone, but he doesn't mind joining a team if the mission calls for it.

Spider-Man would team up with most other Marvel characters, and he'd work alongside some DC heroes too, if he had the chance. The same is true of the heroes of anime as well, many of whom would complement Spider-Man's personality and abilities in a fight. But not all of them are a good match for Spider-Man for a mission.

10 WOULD TEAM UP WITH: Izuku Midoriya Is A Hard-Hitting Teammate (My Hero Academia)

Izuku Midoriya in mha

Personality-wise, Spider-Man and Izuku Midoriya the trainee hero would get along wonderfully, both being outstanding young men with the conviction of a true hero. They are working hard to get stronger and impress their mentors, Iron Man and All Might respectively, and they'd even be great friends.

In combat, Izuku's overwhelming power with One For All is a good fit for Spider-Man's own abilities, since Spidey could trap villains in place with his webs, making them an easy target for a Smash attack. Or, Spidey could block a villain's escape route with even more webs.

9 WOULDN'T TEAM UP WITH: Riza Hawkeye Is Deadly & Cold (Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood)

Riza Hawkeye Fullmetal Alchemist

Spider-Man would respect Lieutenant Riza Hawkeye as a professional soldier and sniper, and he'd compare her to elite S.H.I.E.L.D. operatives. But he wouldn't want to team up with her if he could help it, because he's not in the business of shooting and killing people.

Spidey knows that these things happen, but he'd feel pretty lousy if his teammate kept splattering villains' brains everywhere with each pull of the trigger. He's the type to capture villains and hand them over to the police, rather than shed blood. He doesn't have the stomach to kill and he already has a Hawkeye he'd rather be working with.

8 WOULD TEAM UP WITH: Genos Would Remind Him Of Iron Man (One-Punch Man)

Genos Prepares To Incinerate Someone

The cyborg hero Genos takes himself seriously, even too seriously, as a defender of justice and the law. He earned his S-rank right away due to his immense firepower and sharp mind, and if he met Spider-Man, he'd remind Spidey of Iron Man in many good ways.

RELATED: 10 Horrible Realities of Being Spider-Man

Genos is a flying metallic warrior who can fire energy blasts from his palms, just like the late Iron Man, and he has a mature and responsible attitude as well. Spider-Man could think of all kinds of ways to fight with him against mighty foes.

7 WOULDN'T TEAM UP WITH: Askeladd Isn't A Real Hero (Vinland Saga)

Askeladd with a bloody sword in vinland saga

Askeladd is a hero in his own eyes, fighting hard to protect the Welsh and other Celtic peoples from the wrath of the Vikings, and he defended his mother from his harsh father one day in his youth. Askeladd is also an expert swordsman and a cunning leader and tactician, which is impressive.

But Spider-Man won't be impressed. Instead, he'd be dismayed by Askeladd's cold and brutal worldview, and the two of them would clash on many ideological levels. Also, Askeladd doesn't quite have Avenger-level strength to help Spider-Man take on the MCU's strongest villains.

6 WOULD TEAM UP WITH: Lisanna Strauss Is Agile, Strong, & Cheerful (Fairy Tail)

lisanna strauss in fairy tail

There may be stronger wizards in the Fairy Tail guild, but Lisanna Strauss is still a capable fighter, and her animal-based Take Over magic makes her remarkably flexible, allowing her cat claws or bird wings for flight. Spider-Man could always use an ally who can take to the skies and carry him around if need be.

It also helps that Lisanna's cheerful and brave personality matches Spider-Man's own, and she is also the type to take down a foe without killing them or even seriously injuring them. Her combat personality and philosophy are conveniently similar to Spidey's, and they'd probably become friends after a point, too.

5 WOULDN'T TEAM UP WITH: Pannacotta Fugo's Stand Is Too Risky (JoJo's Bizarre Adventure)

Jojo's Bizarre Adventure Golden Wind Pannacotta Fugo and Purple Haze

Some anime heroes have oddly villainous powers or weapons, and that includes Pannacotta Fugo, a supporting character in the Golden Wind story arc. His Stand, named Purple Haze, is a melee type that can release a killer virus from capsules on its knuckles.

Purple Haze can quickly kill Fugo's enemies with that virus attack, but it's risky even in Fugo's eyes, let alone Spider-Man's, and Spidey would be concerned that the virus could spread out of control. Even if it doesn't, Spider-Man is too squeamish to kill his enemies with such an ability.

4 WOULD TEAM UP WITH: Uryu Ishida Can Be The Next Hawkeye (Bleach)

Spider-Man certainly knows who Hawkeye the archer is, and no doubt he's impressed with Hawkeye's impeccable aim. If Hawkeye isn't available to help, Spidey can turn to Uryu Ishida the Quincy for help, especially if they are fighting spiritual enemies that ordinary webs cannot handle.

Uryu is a talented archer in his own right, and he can hit his enemies with either lethal or non-lethal shots, depending on his needs. He can also analyze any combat situation and formulate a counterattack, and even slide around at high speeds to avoid enemy fire. Spider-Man could really use a ranged ally like him.

3 WOULDN'T TEAM UP WITH: Zenitsu Agatsuma Is A Total Pain (Demon Slayer)

Zenitsu beat up

The lightning demon slayer Zenitsu is slowly getting stronger, but as a whole, he's not an ideal teammate even for Tanjiro, let alone Spider-Man or any of the other Avengers. Zenitsu is notorious for panicking and complaining about everything, and he often tries to duck out of battles.

Zenitsu's strengths don't come into play until he's knocked out or asleep, and that's when he delivers quick lightning-based attacks that can take off a demon's head with ease. That's great and all, but Spider-Man would rather have a more consistent teammate.

2 WOULD TEAM UP WITH: Benimaru Is A Tough Swordsman (That Time I Got Reincarnated As A Slime)

Benimaru giving orders in Reincarnated as a Slime episode 43.

Rimuru Tempest is by far his nation's strongest fighter, but Spider-Man wouldn't underestimate Rimuru's ogre allies, including Shion, Hakuro, and Benimaru, among others. Benimaru has a bit of a temper, but otherwise, he'd be a reliable and stable teammate for Spider-Man against any foe.

Spidey would be impressed with Benimaru's speed, strength, and stamina as a samurai-style ogre swordsman, and Spidey could use his webs to trap an enemy and allow Benimaru to finish them off. Benimaru can also use fire-based attacks if and when the situation calls for it.

1 WOULDN'T TEAM UP WITH: Shinra Kusakabe's Flames Would Disrupt Spider-Man's Webs (Fire Force)

Shinra In Front of A Wall Of Flames Using His Power

In terms of personality and combat prowess, Shinra the fire soldier is a decent fit for Spider-Man. Shinra fancies himself a superhero, which Spider-Man would appreciate, and he is a stubborn and persistent fighter who won't give up on anyone who needs him. He can also hit hard with his Devil's Footprints style.

The issue is that Shinra's blistering flames would char or vaporize Spider-Man's webbing, and the two of them might get in each other's way while fighting a villain. Spider-Man can't afford to have Shinra blasting everything with flames like that, so he'll reluctantly pass up Shinra as a partner.
