Miss Minutes debuted in Season 1 of Loki and will return for Season 2, which is set to air in mid-2023 as part of Phase 5. Gugu Mbatha-Raw, who co-stars in the series as Ravonna Renslayer, described Season 2 as "bolder and more surreal" than the first. New cast members confirmed to be joining the series include Ke Huy Quan and Kate Dickie. Phase 4 of the MCU officially concluded with the release of The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special, which was released on Disney+ in November 2022.

What to Expect from Phase 5 of the MCU

Phase 5 of the MCU will kick off with Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, which has been promised to be as epic and world-changing as an Avengers movie. According to director Peyton Reed, the third Ant-Man film will be "central to the future of the MCU." Phase 5 will also consist of films and television shows including The Marvels, Captain America: New World Order (2024), Thunderbolts (2024), Blade (2024), What If...? Season 2, Ironheart, Echo, Agatha: Coven of Chaos and Daredevil: Born Again.

"We wanted to kick off Phase Five with Ant-Man because he’d earned that position," said Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige. "To not simply be the back-up or the comic relief, but to take his position at the front of the podium of the MCU." Reed added, "We’re not running around the streets of San Francisco anymore. We’re fighting one of the most powerful villains in Marvel history."

Phase 5 may also see Marvel change its release model. Reports indicated the studio is responding to overworked VFX teams and creative differences with filmmakers by focusing more on quality over quantity over the next few years. In addition, the success of one-shot projects like Werewolf By Night and The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special has reportedly encouraged Marvel to develop more Special Presentations in the future.

Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania arrives in theaters on Feb. 17, 2023.
