There have been a lot of changes within the MCU over the years, but a show like WandaVision may have changed the MCU forever. Wanda, with her reality-altering powers, definitely made a lasting impact when she decided to bring her beloved Vision back from the dead. But she didn't change everything though.

There are many things within the MCU that have remained the same; Wanda didn't change the entire world after all. She only managed to alter a small part of it. While some changes might stick around, the greater world will remain familiar to MCU fans. The MCU will continue on with both Wanda and Vision.

10 People Have Returned After A Long Absence

After the Avengers defeated Thanos, many people were returned to the universe. While the MCU has barely explored what that would mean, WandaVision takes that exploration to the next level. The show revealed what this might look like through the eyes of Monica Rambeau.

Monica had missed the last days of her mother's life, she had missed the massive shift in direction the agency she worked for experienced, and she was told that she may never fly again. The true tragedy of disappearing for years was highlighted through Monica's introduction to the MCU.

9 Vision Is Still A Hero

Wanda was so desperate to have Vision back, that she altered reality to make it happen. At first, she managed to control everything. She was able to keep her tiny world together for just a little while. When Vision realized something odd was happening, he took steps to be the hero the town needed.

He ended up losing his life again and was resurrected as the white Vision. In the comics, white Vision doesn't have the emotional maturity of his regular red self. The white Vision is more of a machine than a man, and it seems the show is going the same route, but despite the change, Vision is still a hero.

8 Wanda Can't Control Her Incredible Power

The comic version of Wanda has never been completely in control of her immense power and the movie version of the character also lacks control. When she loses control in Lagos, she unintentionally causes a lot of damage when she destroys a building.

WandaVision makes it clear that her powers are still unstable. She isn't completely in control of herself or the world around her, and it's entirely possible that she will never be able to completely control her powers.

7 The Established Avenger's History Remains Intact

In the comics, Wanda is shown to possess the power to alter history, reality, and events. In theory, her movie counterpart could do the same. When she altered Westview, she could have altered greater parts of the world.

As far as anyone knows, she left most of the world alone. She seemed to be straining herself to control one town, so it is doubtful that she changed the lives of her allies. The history of the MCU and the Avengers seems to remain unchanged.

6 Dr. Strange Is Still Sorcerer Supreme

Many fans have wondered why the Avengers didn't step up to help stop Wanda and most people were wondering about the whereabouts of Dr. Strange. Dr. Strange was located in the next state and should have been able to detect the use of magic.

As the sorcerer supreme, part of Dr. Strange's job is to handle situations like the one in Westview, but Dr. Strange and the rest of the Avengers were likely too busy to handle Wanda. Some fans have wondered if Wanda's expanded abilities will make her the new sorcerer supreme, but Dr. Strange is still officially filling that role.

5 Quicksilver Is Still Dead

Elizabeth Olsen and Evan Peters in WandaVision Episode 6

When Evan Peters showed up in Westview, fans began to speculate. There had been rumors of opening up the MCU and exploring parallel universes. As Evan plays Pietro in the X-Men films, seeing him on WandaVision was no small coincidence.

However, it seems that Evan wasn't playing Quicksilver. He was playing a completely new character who was given Pietro's powers. While Wanda's powers could likely return her brother to life, he is still currently dead. Evan's character might still return in the future.

4 Iron Man & Captain America Are Still Gone

Wanda could have made an effort to return her teammates. She could have tried to bring them back to the MCU, but she didn't. There have been rumors that a new version of Tony and Steve will be seen sometime soon, but they haven't been introduced yet.

Peters' inclusion could have opened up new worlds to the MCU, which could have opened the possibility of adding an alternate Tony and Steve to the world. But so far, Iron Man and Captain America have yet to be recast.

3 The Sokovian Accords Have Remained In Place

MCU Avengers Civil War

After the Avengers managed to triumph over Thanos, it would have made sense to get rid of the Sokovian Accords. The world might have realized just how necessary the Avengers could be, but Wanda might have killed some of that good will.

When word gets out about what happened in Westview, people might want even more regulations against superpowered individuals. With rumors that mutants will be joining the MCU, this might open up storylines involving Sentinel Services.

2 S.H.I.E.L.D. Is Still Around

MCU Marvel S.H.I.E.L.D. & S.W.O.R.D.

S.H.I.E.L.D. has been an important part of the MCU since the beginning. It seems a little odd that they wouldn't show up to explore what was going on in Westview. Recent events have left S.H.I.E.L.D. with some egg on their faces.

An organization called S.W.O.R.D. showed up instead of S.H.I.E.L.D. This other government agency was briefly mentioned in Thor, where its main mission was to look to the stars. S.W.O.R.D. now seems to be similar to S.H.I.E.L.D. While some fans have speculated that the two organizations may have merged, they seem to still be separate institutions.

1 Wanda Is All Alone In The World

Billy Tommy Wanda Vision

Wanda was suffering from the loss of Pietro and Vision when she took control of Westview. Sadly, Wanda never seemed to fully feel at home with the Avengers. She was able to make a family for herself with her resurrection of Vision and the birth of their twins.

For a little while, Wanda got to have a happy, sitcom-esque life. But Wanda ended up losing Vision and their twins, she ended up all alone again. A small glimmer of hope was given when she seemingly heard her twins. Marvel may be gearing up for the Young Avengers to appear in the MCU.
