MCU fans have been chomping at the bit for the next Disney+ series, Loki, and luckily the wait is less than a month away. While Loki is set to be a wild adventure in its own right, if it is going to be anything like the first two series released on Disney+, fans will be expecting some answers.

While fans are excited about the future of Loki and his role in the MCU to come, they have not forgotten his past. There are many questions, not only about Loki but about the MCU as a whole, that fans are hoping to get some answers on by the end of this series.

10 Where Did Loki Go?

Obviously, Loki will find himself in multiple timelines throughout the series, but most fans want to know where did he go immediately after escaping from New York? What has Loki done since then that has got him in trouble with the Time Variance Authority (TVA)?

Many fans assume that the show will explore the events between Loki's escape in Avenger: Endgame and his capture by the TVA via flashbacks or by having Loki return to places where he has screwed things up. However, starting off the series with some kind of montage would provide viewers with plenty of context and immediately give fans some answers.

9 What Role Does the Time Variance Authority Play?

It has been confirmed that the TVA will be heavily involved in the plot of the Loki series, but to what degree still remains slightly unclear. Fans are familiar with the TVA from the comics, but whether or not they are benevolent overseers or vindictive punishers remains to be seen.

From what fans can glean from the trailers, the TVA appears to have recruited Loki in an effort to fix the many-branched timelines that he has created and screwed up. Beyond that, fans are curious to see what exactly the TVA does and what role they could play in the future of the MCU.

8 How Many Lokis Will Fans See?

While the series appears to follow the story of the Loki variant that managed to escape custody during the time heist, it is heavily rumored that multiple versions of Loki are set to appear. Not only are other variants of the original Loki expected, but there are also rumors circulating about the appearances of King Loki, Kid Loki, and even Lady Loki.

With a potential A-Force and/or Young Avengers movie in the works, fans might expect to see multiple versions of Loki to help set the stage for future movies. Provided half of the Young Avengers have already been introduced or confirmed, fans should probably expect to see Kid Loki in some capacity.

7 Which Historical Events Will Loki Be Involved In?

Many fans have noticed multiple shots of Loki in certain situations that appear to be real-world events from the recent and ancient past. Most notably, Loki appears to be involved in the D.B. Cooper scandal and he also appears in Pompeii, presumably during the cataclysmic eruption of Mount Vesuvius.

However, Marvel is a master of misdirection, so many of the images and clips that are shown in the trailer may be completely different from what viewers are shown each week. There is also the chance that Marvel is intentionally misleading fans to try and keep things a secret for as long as possible.

6 Who Exactly Is Mobius M. Mobius?

Owen Wilson has been confirmed as the character Mobius M. Mobius, who is a high-ranking TVA agent and seemingly Loki's main point of contact in the series. Beyond that, fans are unsure of what to expect from Wilson's Mobius.

His demeanor seems to paint him as a sort of ally, though Marvel has done a good job of making villains likable in the past. Fans are certainly curious to see if Mobius will be a recurring character in the MCU, especially with the looming threat of Kang the Conqueror.

5 Will Loki Introduce the Next Big Bad?

Kang the Conqueror from Marvel Comics

Rumors of cameos have been swirling around Loki ever since it was announced to have a heavy dose of time travel. Some fans think Thanos may reappear, but others believe Marvel will use this series to introduce one of the next major villains of the MCU's future. Between time travel and interdimensional travel, there are two fan-favorite candidates to appear in Loki.

With Kang the Conqueror already confirmed to be making an appearance in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, fans assume he will be informally introduced in Loki to some degree. Fans also believe Nightmare could be revealed as he is a ruler of an entirely different dimension. This would potentially help tie Loki into Dr. Strange 2 as Nightmare is a classic Dr. Strange villain and could end up being the true antagonist of the sequel.

4 Which MCU Characters (If Any) Will Make an Appearance?

Loki has ties to multiple heroes in the MCU and many of them are rumored to appear in the upcoming series. Most fans expect Thor to show up in some capacity, but the trailers thus far have done a good job of hiding any potentially huge cameos.

In addition to Thor, many fans have speculated that another version of Thanos will arrive. Perhaps even some of the dead Avengers such as Tony or Natasha will make a small appearance. Additionally, given the recent confirmation from Marvel Studios, Loki may even come face to face with a Dr. Stephen Strange.

3 How Does It Tie into Dr. Strange 2?

Marvel Studios' big boss, Kevin Feige, has confirmed that Loki will tie directly into the events of the Dr. Strange sequel, though how exactly still remains to be seen. It is assumed that Loki will travel through different timelines and potentially different dimensions so perhaps this cosmic disturbance is enough to get the attention of the Sorcerer Supreme.

A much more exciting prospect would be to have Dr. Strange actually team up with Loki rather than be his foe. As they are both incredibly talented magic users with big brains and clever quips, the banter between these two could be Stark level.

2 Did Loki Really Die in Endgame?

With Loki being a master of deception and having already cheated death on more than one occasion, fans are dying to find out if his death at the hand of Thanos was real. Many fan theories have suggested that Loki will go back in time to replace the version of him that is killed with a believable hologram or prevent his death entirely.

While most fans have accepted the fate of Loki in the main timeline, it would be great for Marvel to revisit this scene. Depending on the direction they go, it could complete an intricate yet massive time loop or simply provide closure for some die-hard Loki fans.

1 Is Loki Returning to the Main Timeline?

While the multiverse and time travel leaves open the possibility for many stories, fans want to know if Loki will be coming home to the main timeline to reconnect and interact with some of the heroes he left behind. With the confirmation of Loki somehow connecting to Dr. Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, one might assume Loki will jump back into the main timeline at some point.

However, a season 2 for Loki has already been given the green light by Marvel Studios. Perhaps Loki will return to the main timeline only temporarily to help Dr. Strange and then continue to jump across timelines, either creating chaos and mischief or fixing more of his past mistakes.
