The fifth episode of Hawkeye introduced the Kingpin to the Marvel universe, treating fans to one of the most awaited character returns since Netflix canceled its Daredevil series. With the arrival of Wilson Fisk, the MCU opens the door to a dozen new possible adaptations. As a result, fans are already considering how Wilson Fisk fits into this universe.

There are several superheroes in Marvel comics who have defeated the Kingpin before. However, nothing is set in stone when it comes to the crimelord's reign of terror. Fans can only hope these MCU heroes are able to counterattack the violent threat that's imminent.

10 Maria Hill Doesn't Have The Strength To Defeat Fisk

As the former Deputy Director of S.H.I.E.L.D., Maria Hill is a trained combatant and an expert in martial arts, including Krav Maga and karate. In addition, she definitely knows how to use a gun. However, none of this is enough when it comes to facing the Kingpin.

Although Wilson Fisk doesn't have superpowers, he's much stronger than most people, and injuries rarely slow him down. Consequently, he'd crush Maria if he faced her in hand-to-hand combat. The only way Maria could beat him is through the use of the legal system.

9 Kingpin Would Break Quicksilver's Legs With No Effort

Pietro Maximoff running as Quicksilver.

Pietro Maximoff, also known as Quicksilver, was a speedster who helped the Avengers during their battle against Ultron in Sokovia. He died protecting Hawkeye and Costel in that battle, so he didn't share any time in the MCU with Kingpin. However, considering Pietro would have lost against him, this is a relief.

Although Pietro's abilities mean he could escape in seconds, he's not as strong as the crimelord. If Wilson Fisk grabbed him, he wouldn't think twice before breaking Quicksilver's legs and rendering him useless.

8 Wilson Fisk's Gives Him An Advantage Over Black Widow

Scarlett Johansson in Black Widow

Since she is a Black Widow, Natasha Romanoff is one of the most lethal spies in the world. She's a master martial artist and an expert marksman. Besides, her acrobatic skills are beyond compare. This set of skills makes her a formidable opponent for anyone.

Unfortunately, she doesn't have the strength to defeat the Kingpin due to the crimelord's enormous size. There's no doubt Natasha would avoid many of the Kingpin's punches, but ultimately, he'd subdue her with brute force.

7 Echo And Wilson Fisk Know Each Other's Fighting Styles

Echo Alaqua Cox in MCU and Disney+'s Hawkeye

Echo isn't exactly an MCU hero (yet). However, considering her story in the comics and her soon-to-be-released TV show, it's likely she'll become one soon. There's no doubt her photographic reflexes and combat skills would make her a fine addition to any future Avengers team.

Although Maya Lopez was raised by the Kingpin and probably knows all his strengths and weaknesses, she's also physically weaker than him. Besides, since she was trained by Fisk himself, he has the upper hand in a physical conflict. In fact, he's already defeated her in the comics.

6 Star-Lord Is Too Reckless To Beat The Kingpin

Chris Pratt as Peter Quill in Guardians of the Galaxy

Peter Quill is an amazing marksman and an expert in hand-to-hand combat. He's also an expert thief, which in this case also translates into tremendous reflexes and agility. However, he's no match for Wilson Fisk. Granted, Peter is a half-Celestial, which means he can manipulate energy. However, he hasn't learned how to use his powers, so he can't wield them proficiently in battle.

In addition to this, Star-Lord is reckless, while the Kingpin has a cold and calculating approach to combat. It wouldn't take long for Peter to get distracted by his own one-liner and end up in the Kingpin's hands.

5 Hawkeye's Arrows Would Not Pierce Through The Kingpin's Clothing

Hawkeye with his bow and arrows

Although he's an extraordinary martial artist and a knife and swords expert, Hawkeye's best talent lies in his archery. He's a master marksman and rarely misses his target. However, arrows alone aren't enough to subdue the Kingpin.

Wilson Fisk isn't invulnerable, but he often wears Kevlar armor under his clothing, which means Clint's arrows wouldn't get through his suit. What's more, the Kingpin is physically stronger than Clint, meaning the hero wouldn't have any advantages over this villain.

4 Nick Fury Lacks The Brute Force To Beat The Kingpin

Since he's a former army soldier and a CIA agent, Nick Fury is an expert martial artist and a highly trained combatant in hand-to-hand battle. In addition, he's an expert marksman who has mastered several types of U.S. military firearms. However, while he's strong and properly trained, he lacks the brute force to defeat the Kingpin.

Although Nick Fury isn't exactly small, he's still smaller than Wilson Fisk, whose sheer size puts him at a big advantage during physical combat. In order to defeat the Kingpin, Nick Fury would need to craft a complicated plan instead of just fighting him using his body.

3 Kate Bishop Is Too Inexperienced To Battle Wilson Fisk

Hawkeye Poster with Hailee Steinfeld as Kate Bishop

Kate Bishop is such a skilled archer that she's clearly on her way to taking the well-deserved Hawkeye mantle. Not only is she an expert with a bow, but she's also been training with swords and other weapons since she was a child. However, in her recent conflict with the Kingpin, it was obvious that his physical strength was a looming threat.

Not only is the Kingpin bigger and stronger than Kate, but he also has more experience in combat. Kate won their first battle by surprising him, but also because he saw her as a child and didn't immediately crush her hands. He won't make that mistake a second time.

2 Iron Man Cannot Defeat The Kingpin Without His Suit

Iron Man flying - MCU

In addition to his charm and intelligence, Tony Stark possesses a collection of battlesuits with countless gadgets based on cutting-edge technology of his own creation. This high-tech armor gives him a place among the most powerful superheroes of the MCU. However, it's also the only reason why Tony wouldn't die at the Kingpin's hands.

If Tony didn't have his armor when battling the Kingpin, his human strength wouldn't be enough to defeat the criminal mastermind. Consequently, he'd probably die in battle.

1 Captain America Almost Died At The Hands Of Wilson Fisk Once Before

Steve Rogers piloting the Hydra bomber in Captain America First Avenger from the MCU

Without a doubt, Captain America is one of the strongest superheroes in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. After receiving the Super Soldier serum, he got super strength, super reflexes, and super stamina. Since he's an enhanced human, no one would believe that Steve Rogers could be defeated by the Kingpin. However, it's already happened.

In Captain America #147 by Gary Friedrich and Sal Buscema, these two characters fought ferociously. The Kingpin grabbed Captain America and almost shattered his spine. In fact, Captain America was only saved because the Falcon and Redwing came to his rescue just in time. The MCU's Cap is stronger than the comics version, so the outcome could be different, but right now precedent is in the Kingpin's favor.
