The Marvel Cinematic Universe is known for dividing audiences with its portrayals of platonic and romantic relationships. While the likes of the beloved Sam Wilson and Bucky Barnes or Clint Barton and Natasha Romanoff have been praised for being true friends who can rely on each other, fans have argued that groups such as the Avengers were never really friends at all.

While the movies and TV shows are based on the Marvel comics, the movie storylines and relationships differ. Oddly, characters are great friends and allies within various comics, and they may never meet on screen in the MCU. However, both comic portrayals and the personality traits of groups of characters make it obvious that, if they met, they would form tight bonds.

7 Kate Bishop And Peter Parker Are Both Young Heroes

When Peter Parker becomes Spider-Man and joins the Avengers in Captain America: Civil War, he is just a young, naive teenager who wants to use his power to help people. Similarly, in Hawkeye, Kate Bishop forges a partnership with Clint Barton because she wants to clean up her mess and knows she has the skills to assist him.

While Peter and Kate are initially excited to be working with Avengers, they are both met with the harsh realities of being a superhero when Peter loses his loved ones, and Kate is forced to turn her mother over to the police. The young duo have similar personalities and could bond over their experiences.

6 Luis And Ned Are Both Charismatic Sidekicks

Ned Leeds and Luis often ride the coattails of their friends, Peter Parker and Ant-Man, but they also steal many of the scenes they appear in. Ned is a brilliant friend and companion to Peter, who provides some of the funniest moments of the Spider-Man trilogy.

While Luis is an ex-criminal, who met Scott when they were cellmates, he is a genuine person who cares a lot about his friend. Ned and Luis both have huge hearts and are quite happy to help their friends be heroes, even if they don't get any credit. The duo's optimistic, funny personalities would be a great match.

5 Kamala Khan And America Chavez Both Go On Incredible Journeys

The young America Chavez and Kamala Khan are some of the newest additions to the MCU, first appearing in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness and Ms. Marvel, respectively. As well as being new heroes, they are two of the youngest. Because of their ages, their powers and responsibilities weigh heavily on both of them.

Kamala and America also have to balance discovering their powers with discovering their identities, as the two young women attempt to find their places in the world. Going on similar journeys, Kamala and America could be great support systems for each other if they ever met.

4 Wanda Maximoff And Druig Have Similar Abilities

Eternals' Druig and Wanda Maximoff have both divided audiences due to their actions. While Druig cares about his loved ones and wants to do what is right, he uses his abilities to create a society by mind-controlling its residents. Similarly, Wanda is depicted as a hero who wants to do good but is driven to villainy by years of trauma.

However, the two could bond over the similarities in their powers and their incredible strength but also in the idea that not everyone will agree with their actions, even if they think they are doing the right thing.

3 Reed Richards And Tony Stark Have Similar Personalities

Audiences have not seen much of the Marvel Cinematic Universe's Reed Richards yet. Still, he makes an appearance as a member of the Illuminati in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. Reed is introduced as the smartest man alive and makes it clear that he cares about his family when trying to reason with Wanda.

Other portrayals of Richards, both on-screen and in the comics, depict him as a little arrogant, a trait he shares with the MCU's Tony Stark. While Tony is an egotist, he also cares deeply for Pepper and his daughter, and the Avengers often rely on his intellect. Richards and Stark have a lot in common, and while this could lead to them clashing, it could also help form a great friendship.

2 Kate Bishop And Kamala Khan Both Admire The Avengers

In Hawkeye and Ms. Marvel, Kate Bishop and Kamala Khan have similar journeys, growing from people who love and admire superheroes to superheroes in their rights. While Kate has been a skilled archer for many years and Kamala is just discovering power, the two learn to harness their abilities throughout their appearances in the MCU. Both being young and naive, they would do well to learn from each other if they ever met.

Throughout Hawkeye, Kate is mentored by Clint Barton and could probably bring the knowledge and lessons she learns from him into Kamala's life. If they meet in the future, Kate and Kamala would probably have a friendly, sisterly dynamic.

1 Yelena And Wanda Know What It's Like To Lose Everything

wanda yelena

While Wanda Maximoff has appeared in the MCU for much longer than Yelena Belova, who appeared in Black Widow and Hawkeye, they have both experienced more than their fair share of trauma. Yelena has had to contend with a loss of her own identity, being a widow, and losing her sister Natasha, the person she loved most in the world. From the start, Wanda was dealt a terrible hand and proceeded to lose her brother, her husband Vision, and their two young children.

Both Yelena and Wanda know what it is like fall down the path of evil in response to the grief of losing a loved one and, therefore, would have a lot in common. It would be great if Wanda and Yelena had someone they could talk to who related to and understood their pain.
