Marvel Comics prides itself on creating the most unique characters, having compelling stories, and building worlds shared by these characters. When Marvel Studios branched off and started making their own movies, no one knew what to expect. Iron Man and Captain America had success in the comics but they never succeeded on the big screen. Comic books are loved by millions of people but movies and television attract the casual viewer. When Iron Man was released in 2008, it was a huge hit, and so began a journey that still continues to this day.

Phases 1 to 3, dubbed The Infinity Saga, ended in the summer of 2019. Characters like Iron Man, Black Widow, and Captain America have either been killed or retired, which leaves a large void in the hearts of MCU fans. The good news is that Phase 4 looks to be bigger than ever, with new movies and Disney+ shows carrying on the legacy Iron Man started in 2008. Some characters we've already met and some we haven't, which means a chance at some real interesting duos. (Minor Spoilers For WandaVision Episode 8)

10 Professor X & Nick Fury -  Natural Born Leaders

Nick Fury And Professor X MCU

These guys are two bald-headed men in positions of power. There's a lot more to these two characters than their chrome dome, but it is a fun coincidence. Nick Fury has been a huge part of the MCU by bringing the Avengers together. Professor X is the leader of the X-Men in the comics, and the X-Men are now a property of Marvel Studios again so it's only a matter of time before he shows up in the MCU. Imagine an Avengers vs. X-Men movie and the first part of the film are these two searching around the world for their teams. Fury could search for old members of his team while Professor X could find and introduce the MCU to their versions of mutants.

9 Hulk & The Thing - Mountains Of Men

Thing and Hulk MCU Marvel

Two gargantuan superheroes who have a long and storied past in the comics should most definitely meet in the MCU. A Fantastic Four movie has been confirmed by Marvel Studios and that it's in the early stages of development, which means The Thing joining the MCU is a foregone conclusion. The Hulk has been part of the MCU since day one and has gone through major changes, the latest being he's a "smart" Hulk who's seriously injured from using the Infinity Gauntlet. It would be really fun to dumb down the Hulk again and have him match smarts and smashes with the clobbering king.

8 Scarlet Witch & Jean Grey - Mind Control Magic

Wanda and Scarlet Witch Marvel

These two beautiful ladies don't just share the same hair color. In fact, they both are considered two of the most powerful beings in all of the Marvel world. In WandaVision, it's been shown that The Scarlet Witch is so gifted that she can create a fake universe out of pure emotion. Jean Grey has been featured in previous X-Men movies, but now that the beloved mutants are back under the Marvel Studios banner, they can interact with some of the MCU's best.

Jean and Wanda trying to overpower each other with their minds could potentially level a whole city. They both have a combination of beauty, brawn, and brains. If they settle their differences and team up, it's doubtful anyone could stop them.

7 Mephisto & Loki - Godly Powerhungry Villains

Mephisto and Loki Marvel Comics

Disney+ will be bringing the Loki television show to screens this May. Mephisto has been rumored to be in the last episode of WandaVision but even if he isn't, the Devil of Marvel should join the MCU in the future. Mephisto has superhuman strength and intelligence, uses magic, and cannot die. Sounds like a Godly creature and the first true evil God of the MCU was Loki.  Loki had a redemption arc leading up to his death in Avengers: Infinity War but now is alive thanks to the Tesseract. The God of Mischief is in villain form and will no doubt be seeking revenge on Thor and The Avengers. Mephisto has been known to interact with Thanos and Hela in the comics, two characters that Loki knows all too well. These two would make a truly demonic duo.

6 Thor & Deadpool - Funny Powerful Beings

Deadpool and Thor MCU

Ryan Reynolds was recently confirmed for a Deadpool return, but this time it will be for the MCU. The Merc With A Mouth has been a Fox property for years but as the rights revert back to Marvel Studios, he will soon be joining some of the most popular Avengers. Perhaps the most popular and maybe the strongest Avenger is Thor, who has also been one of the funnier characters the MCU has produced. The first meeting between these two would be unforgettable, especially since one can't die and the other is a God who can live for thousands of years. Deadpool breaking the fourth wall and acknowledging that Ryan Reynold's and Chris Hemsworth both won the Sexiest Man Alive would be a hilarious nod.

5 Kang & Ultron - Evil & Technology

Kang and Ultron MCU Marvel

Two of the Avenger's most formidable foes have been Kang The Conqueror and Ultron. Ultron was brought to the big screen in 2015 as an AI who was made by Tony Stark and Bruce Banner to protect the world. However, it went terribly wrong as Ultron would turn on them and tried to destroy the world. Ultron promised the Avengers that the future of their world would be all metal and that the group would be made extinct.

Kang is from the 40th Century and travels back and forth between timelines to try and get the upper hand on Earth's Mightiest Heroes. Both villains want the Avengers gone and with Kang's love of technology, Ultron would be the perfect partner. Seeing as Vision has been brought back, Ultron returning isn't out of the equation.

4 The Punisher & Wolverine - Gritty Anti-Heroes

Punisher MCU and Wolverine

Netflix brought the Punisher to TV screens a few years ago but was made by the Marvel TV department, which was different from Marvel Studios. Now 100% back with Marvel Studios, Jon Bernthal needs to return as the Punisher and fight in the MCU. Wolverine is a legend and now that his rights are back with Marvel Studios, the possibility of these two angry anti-heroes meeting has grown exponentially. Many fans consider these two marvel legends the two biggest badasses and seeing them fight each other and then eventually team up would be mind-blowing.

3 Mr. Fantastic & Dr. Doom - Legendary Rivals

Reed Richards and Dr Doom Marvel

Jon Watts (MCU Spider-Man director) has signed on to bring Marvel's first family to the big screen. Dr. Doom and Mr. Fantastic have been portrayed in other films but they were very disappointing so fans are hoping Watts can create the best versions of the two rivals. Reed Richards and Victor Von Doom have been linked since the Fantastic Four debuted in the comics in 1962. Both men have genius intellect and gain their powers in a space accident, along with the three other members of the Fantastic Four. The MCU doesn't always follow the comic origin stories so it'll be interesting to see how they come to be the human stretch Armstrong and the ruler of Latveria. As long as Mr. Fantastic's powers aren't used for dancing with multiple women at his bachelor party, it should be better.

2 Silver Surfer & Galactus - Herald To The Planet Devourer

Galactus and Silver Surfer Marvel

Another fantastic duo from Marvel comics that should be brought to the MCU immediately is the classic giant villain, Galactus, and his galactic herald, The Silver Surfer. They appeared in 2007s Fantastic Four: Rise Of The Silver Surfer but the movie was shockingly bad, although Laurence Fishburne did a really great job voicing the surfer. Galactus, known to comic fans as the devourer of worlds, was depicted as a cloud and left a really bad taste in the mouths of the fans. Kevin Feige and Marvel Studios have adapted the best versions of Marvel characters to the big screen, and they've proved they can make space movies with the success of Guardians of the Galaxy and Captain Marvel. If fans had to choose two new characters they wanted to see as soon as possible, it's a good bet it would be Galactus and The Silver Surfer.

1 Spider-Man & Hulk - Jade Giant Likes Bug Man

Spiderman and Hulk Marvel Comics

Picking the two best Marvel characters ever created may be impossible but the popularity of Spider-Man and The Hulk can't be denied. Mark Ruffalo portrays Hulk in the MCU and Tom Holland is the MCU's web-slinger. They were in a few brief scenes together in Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame but had no interaction whatsoever. The Hulk may be "smart" right now but here's hoping he reverts back to his Thor: Ragnarok personality and gets to interact with Spidey. They usually make a good pair in the comics, although Spider-Man does get on the Hulk's nerve on occasion. However, for the most part, the Hulk knows Spider-Man is a teenager and appreciates his innocence. Who doesn't want to hear a childlike Hulk say that he likes "bug-man?"
