With the master of the mystic arts set to be directed by Sam Raimi, it seems appropriate to look at other characters that could also benefit from his unique style, which is inspired by the graphic nature of comic books and his horror background.

There are plenty of characters from throughout the Marvel Cinematic Universe that could benefit from his talents. Here are 10 of those characters from throughout the MCU.

10 Loki

Loki is one of the characters that's coming back to Disney's streaming service, although there's room to add another director to this project. Loki combines the magic, darkness and colorful traits that Raimi excels with.

He could really be reinvented as a character, much like Thor before him, with the help of Sam Raimi as the director. There's a lot of new directions to take this character in.

9 Spider-Man

Sam Raimi has already adapted the web-slinger to the big screen before and yet fans really want to see him take on Spider-Man once again, but this time in the MCU, where he belongs!

While there are always rumors that Raimi's version of the character could be showing up in some kind of spider-verse, it would be interesting to see what he'd do with Holland's take on the character.

8 Nebula

Sam Raimi doesn't really deal with cosmic elements very often although is work does, of course, contain elements of science fiction. Nebula might be a good fit for him, however.

She's grounded in a certain amount of grit and moral complexity that he may really be able to work with. In many ways, her characteristics could match some of the other characters he has worked with in the past.

7 Morgana Le Fay

Morgana Le Fay has already shown up in the MCU as a villain for the group of kids known as the Runaways, but she is now ready to be used again, perhaps in a more magical setting.

The character would be a perfect fit for the upcoming sorcerer supreme sequel and Sam Raimi could take what's already been done with the character and expand it even further.

6 Sister Grimm

Nico has also starred alongside Morgana and has her own talents in the mystic arts. The show teased that at some stage she could have trained with Doctor Strange and she'd, therefore, fit into the sequel well.

More importantly, her stock could be significantly raised by Raimi's talents. Her wicker version of magic includes darkness to it that Sam Raimi might be able to capture incredibly well.

5 Daredevil

Daredevil could be making his way into other aspects of the MCU now that his Netflix deal will be coming to an end. As a street-level hero, Sam Raimi has had experience adapting characters similar to him.

His work on Peter Parker shows exactly what he could achieve with Daredevil and perhaps he could turn up the comic book elements of the character and even have him swinging across New York with his nun-chucks in his stylized way.

4 Cloak And Dagger

Cloak and Dagger's series appears to be coming to an end but there's so much more that can be done with these characters. The lightness and the darkness is a concept that Raimi has explored before.

He'd be able to pick up on these themes well and perhaps add a few more stylized elements to these characters in order to make them pop a little more like the comics. Something as simple as a costume change could work.

3 Kaecilius

The former villain has seemingly been removed from the picture for now but there's plenty of ways to bring him back. He was quite frankly underwhelming and perhaps needs a little more work.

Sam Raimi might be able to orchestrate his return in a way that develops the character further and demonstrates some kind of advancement since we last saw the character.

2 Colleen Wing

Colleen Wing

Colleen Wing not only provides Raimi with another opportunity to create some interesting action sequences, as he has done so in the past but to elevate this character from a TV star into something worthy of the MCU movies.

The Daughter of the Dragon is an interesting character and now possesses some of the gifts of the Iron Fist. The type of style that this director utilizes could actually be a match made in heaven and propel this lesser-known character forward.

1 Batroc The Leaper

Batroc the Leaper has been featured once in the MCU so far but is very much rumored to return again in the future. His athletic abilities alone are one that Raimi could effectively capture on camera, unlike any other director.

However, he also wouldn't have any trouble going all-in on the quirky villain and perhaps pushing the character to its limits. He'd embrace some of the campy aspects of his costume or abilities and get Batroc closer to the source material.
