The MCU and DCEU will always be at war with one another. Fans from either side will constantly take to the Internet to express which one they think is better. It seems that this battle will never end. However, the publishers, Marvel and DC Comics, don't have that big of a rivalry. The two co-exist happily, borrow stories from one another, and have even shared multiple writers and artists. There were times where they even collaborated on comic book arcs together. Why can't we have something like that in the films?

We understand that there's crazy licensing and copyright issues to take into account when discussing the MCU and DCEU, but just think of the possibilities. We could have Henry Cavill and Chris Evans talking about justice, Gal Gadot giving fighting tips to Scarlett Johansson, and Ezra Miller being a fanboy with Tom Holland. The possibilities are endless. They could even adapt the Amalgam Universe. Just to prove to you how great it would be if the MCU and DCEU were to combine with each other, we've pulled of the most insane fan art from across the web that combined Marvel's live-action Avengers with DC's mighty and dark Justice League heroes.

15 PROTECTING AMERICA IN RECORD TIME

It's crazy to think how similar the Captain America and Flash costumes are until you see them mashed together like this. Cap's mask is strikingly similar to Barry Allen's, so it was only a matter of time before the two joined forces and become a super soldier who could travel faster than the speed of light.

Instead of the classic white wings over the helmet, this design replaces them with Flash's high-speed wings. On top of that, the shield is given a lightning bolt symbol as opposed to a star (same thing for the centerpiece on the torso). All in all, it's a nice mix that intelligently chooses to keep the structure of Captain America's costume intact with the added color palette and accents of the Flash.

14 A NEW DIRECTOR

If Bruce Wayne were in the MCU, there are several routes he could go. One of them is to continue being Batman. The other is to join S.H.I.E.L.D. and possibly even become its director. Artist doubleleaf imagines what it would look like if Bruce decided to serve the government and work with S.H.I.E.L.D. in taking down cosmic threats and working with the Avengers.

There's a nice color contrast with the design. He has the standard blue you'd expect from a S.H.I.E.L.D. agent with gray plating and a bat symbol to strike memories of his alter ego. We're not sure why the eye patch is there, but it's likely a homage to the classic version of Nick Fury. Imagine how effective S.H.I.E.L.D. would be if someone as tactically proficient as Bruce Wayne were to take it over.

13 THE KNIGHT OF WAKANDA

Over the futuristic streets of Wakanda sits a lone protector who is trained in all types of martial arts, can use any weapon, and is sporting a suit made entirely out of Vibranium. The dark colors and raw fighting style of Batman and the Black Panther are a match made in heaven, and this fan art proves it.

Admittedly, it's difficult to really accentuate the subtle differences in each character, bu CartoonHooligans does an excellent job. By giving the mashup silver accents and having a cape that rises above the shoulders, it gives a distinct look that one would never find in Gotham City. They keep the bat symbol intact, but differentiate it just enough to make it feel like a newer logo. Imagine if the king of Wakanda wore something like this.

12 THE DEVIL OF HELL'S WATERS

Of all the combinations on this list, this is the one that makes the least sense. Clearly, combining Daredevil with Batman seems like the way to go, but that's where we have to praise the artist, doubleleaf. He subverts the status quo by going for a much more off-the-wall combination of Daredevil and Aquaman.

Charlie Cox's Daredevil and Jason Momoa's Aquaman clearly weren't the inspiration for this piece, but the combination is still quite impressive. By replacing the bright orange of the Aquaman suit with the muted red of Daredevil, the design still looks quite attractive. (the subtle touch of scales on the Daredevil torso is a nice addition). What really sells the look is seeing this mashup in action, throwing his trident. It makes the whole look feel more authentic, and that's why we're in love.

11 I AM THE FASTEST MAN ALIVE

Barry Allen is one of the fastest people alive, but Marvel has their equivalent as well: Quicksilver. Many fans have asked which one of them is faster, and the answer is usually the Flash (having access to the Speed Force and all), but what if you managed to combine them into a single speedster? What kind of limits could you break then?

This piece of art comes to us from FinalPhorm, who has experience in these sorts of mashups. From the looks of it, it seems that he's taking more inspiration from the Arrowverse version of the Flash and the X-Men version of Quicksilver rather than their MCU and DCEU counterparts. That said, there's a lot to love with the look here, even if the legs are a little odd to look at.

10 CAPTAIN BATMAN

What if Steve Rogers was injected with the Super Soldier serum after his parents were shot down in an alley by a Nazi spy during World War II? We would get the legendary Captain Batman! In all seriousness, the two are fundamentally even with their fighting styles (they've even sparred a bit in the comics).

At first glance, it seems like this combination wouldn't work from a design perspective. Batman is all black and Captain America sports bright, patriotic colors. Nonetheless, the final product works really well for us. It feels a bit off seeing Cap in this sort of color scheme, but we've got to praise turning the Vibranium circle shield into a massive bat symbol. A nice addition was having the horns in place of the wings on his mask.

9 YOUR FRIENDLY NEIGHBORHOOD SPEEDSTER

When it comes to the MCU and the DCEU, the two characters that are fundamentally similar are the Flash and Spider-Man. Both are the youngest cast members in their superhero, world-saving teams and they have a particular amazement at being drafted into a universe much bigger than themselves. They also serve as the more light-hearted and comedic characters in their movies.

It makes sense that the two would be brought together in a mashup. RobertMacQuarrie1 has clearly put a lot of thought into this crossover, as the design is incredibly seamless. The colors of Spidey and Flash automatically fit very well together, giving the entire look an "Elseworlds" vibe. If we were to see something like this on the big screen, we wouldn't complain one bit.

8 NOTHING PERSONAL

If you pulled up a list of the best assassins in comic history, Deathstroke would be near the top. Not only is he a powerful character, but he has one of the best designs for any comic villain. Now that he's been officially placed into the DCEU, there's no telling what that means for the Justice League.

If he were brought into the MCU, we could very well get some combination like this. The artist, BossLogic, deserves a lot of praise for this work. Having done several other amalgamations with Iron Man, this is one of his best. Giving the entire suit a black and orange color scheme makes Tony's armor feel much more menacing. We love the addition of the sword and the alterations made to the eye to feel more like Deathstroke the Terminator.

7 BATMAN V SUPERMAN V CAPTAIN AMERICA V IRON MAN

Was it a coincidence that Batman and Superman fought in a movie the same year that Iron Man and Captain America fought? Definitely not. The MCU and DCEU fans were constantly going back and forth as to which movie was better and which characters were better. The general consensus is that Captain America: Civil War was the better of the two, but there are still people that will argue the other way around.

Johann Lacrosaz imagines a reality where Batman V Superman and Civil War were actually the same film by combining its title characters with each other. Batman is given a full suit of armor with a neon bat logo and Superman is given a star-spangled color scheme with militaristic armor around his body. Regardless of how you feel about either film, there's no denying this would be a fight to behold.

6 BEWARE MY POWER, THE ARC REACTOR

There are a lot of possibilities with a character like Iron Man. The nature of his character and design lend him extremely well to combinations, which makes this fan art look phenomenal. As a matter of fact, the mix of Iron Man and the Green Lantern is not an original concept, though. It was something that happened in the comics within the Amalgam Universe.

A character dubbed the Iron Lantern, it combined the technical genius of the Iron Man suit with the Green Lantern Ring. Needless to say, the wearer of this suit would have no trouble zooming across the cosmos making sure that the universe stays safe. In terms of this interpretation, we have to tip our hats to the inclusion of the white gauntlets.

5 GET OUT OF THE WAY

We really have to tip our hats to doubleleaf for creating this beautiful monstrosity. The Hulk is horrifying enough on his own, but he gets much more terrifying when you combine him with the Flash. In concept alone, this combination could give you nightmares, but the execution of the design makes it all the more impressive.

All of the massive muscle and build of the Hulk is kept intact. He's given his own green variant of the Flash costume with lightning coming off of him as he channels the Speed Force. Seeing the electricity travel across his body like a bloodstream also hearkens back to the gamma radiation of Bruce Banner. All of these elements coming together creates a nearly perfect mashup that would look brilliant in a comic book.

4 THE CLOWN PRINCE OF MISCHIEF

What would happen if you combined one of the best MCU villains with one of the best DC villains? You'd get a character that needs to be taken down as soon as possible. Both Loki and the Joker have similar methods. They like to mess with heroes and even drive them insane. However, Loki tends to think on a much larger scale while Joker is more focused on intimate encounters.

If you combined their approaches, there'd be no telling what could happen. Artist Nick Tam gives us a terrifying thought as a result. In terms of the design itself, we have to commend using the Suicide Squad Joker rather than the one from The Dark Knight. The graffiti-style of the character blends quite nicely with Loki's costume, and we'd both hate and love to see how this character would take over the world.

3 THE FASTEST BILLIONAIRE ALIVE

Tony Stark, aka the Invincible Iron Man, is the man that can be credited with the start of the whole boom of superhero movies that have taken over cinemas around the world. Known as a playboy and billionaire, Stark has turned his Iron Man persona into more than just hero -- he's become a brand. On the opposite end is the young, naive hero Barry Allen, better known as the Flash. Mash these two together and we have quite the interesting character.

Artist FinalPhorm crafts yet another gorgeous coming together of two comic book icons to create a hero that we wouldn't mind seeing on the big screen. This "Iron Flash" looks suited up to stop almost any threat that may come his way, whether it be from the DCEU side or the MCU.

2 THE INVINCIBLE ORCA

Due to the gamma radiation, Bruce Banner has no control over the monster that lives inside of him, the Hulk. However, the Hulk still resembles a person, but what if he was much closer to a beast? That's the question RobertMacQuarrie tries to answer by combining Hulk with the King of Atlantis himself, Aquaman.

There isn't much of Aquaman in this design apart from the amphibian accents and the color scheme. The rest all has to do with the Hulk. That said, there would be a lot to fear if we saw this massive creature swimming straight for our submarine. While there's not a lot to the design, MacQuarrie still deserves some praise for having a creative take on a Hulk that lived in the water that's not just making him blue.

1 THE DARK SPIDER

What if you took Tom Holland's Spider-Man and crossed it over with Ben Affleck's Batman? You would get something epic like what's pictured above. This art comes to us from Masaolab and it shows us how epic it would be if an Amalgam Universe existed in movie form.

The art is designed really well, with both Spider-Man's and Batman's costumes getting enough presence to make it feel authentic. Adding to the professional quality of this design is the fact that the Iron Spider armor (from Spider-Man: Homecoming and Avengers: Infinity War) was chosen for the combination. It's also extremely ingenious that the web wings were turned into small bat wings as well. Topping the look is the bright eyes that sit behind the cowl. It's a gorgeous look.
