Since the day the Marvel Cinematic Universe launched, fans have dreamt of watching Wolverine go to work. The problem was that the movie rights were owned by Fox, meaning that Wolverine and his allies couldn't show up. Now that's changed and fans are simply waiting for the announcement of his debut.

When Wolverine finally arrives in the MCU, he is going to get into a lot of fights. That's just how the man makes friends. He also makes a lot of enemies that way. Regardless, there are going to be several battles he comes out on top of as well as a few that leave him licking his wounds.

10 LOSE TO: Scarlet Witch Is An Insurmountable Powerhouse

Not to put too fine a point on this situation, but Wolverine is 100% completely screwed. At this point, Scarlet Witch is one of the most powerful beings in the MCU. And as she gets to know the true scope of her powers better, she will become even more devastating.

The only chance that Wolverine has is catching her by surprise and getting one well-placed kill shot in. But even that might not be enough. Surprising Scarlet Witch may be impossible, assuming she can even be killed at this point.

9 DEFEAT: Nick Fury Would Lose His Other Eye

Nick Fury stands with Iron Man and Captain America

Every iteration of Nick Fury is missing an eye. In the case of Nick Fury in The Ultimates' reality, he actually lost that eye to Wolverine. To be frank, that encounter could have gone a lot worse for both of them.

The MCU version of Nick Fury prepared for a lot of situations that people with two eyes do not see coming. But an angry Mutant who can heal from any wound and has unbreakable claws that can cut through anything is too much for even him.

8 LOSE TO: War Machine Has The Firepower

War Machine In Avengers Endgame Final Battle

Tony Stark made a name for himself by creating powerful weapons, including his various suits of armor. He took that to new levels when he refined the War Machine armor for his friend James Rhodes.

With an experienced fighter pilot like Rhodes operating the armor, War Machine is easily one of the most dangerous heroes in the MCU. Wolverine might be able to hack his way through the armor given enough time but it's hard to do that when someone is shooting you thousands of times non-stop.

7 DEFEAT: Ant-Man Had Better Stay Really, Really Small

As strange as the fight between Falcon and Ant-Man was, one between Wolverine and Ant-Man might get even weirder. Wolverine is easily the better and more dangerous hand-to-hand combatant between the two of them. But Ant-Man's shape-changing abilities give him a serious edge.

That being said, Wolverine would still win. If Ant-Man goes big, Wolverine could cut his Achilles tendons and bring him down. And if Ant-Man goes small, Wolverine's enhanced senses would allow him to find the little guy. His only chance is going to the Quantum Realm and hiding there forever.

6 LOSE TO: Black Panther Will Out Think And Out Fight Him

Black Panther

Without question, Wolverine is in the top echelon of fighters in Marvel Comics. And when he makes his inevitable debut in the MCU, the same will be true there. There are a lot of heroes and villains who simply won't see him coming.

Black Panther isn't one of them. He is too smart, too well-trained, and too powerful for Wolverine. Plus, he has access to advanced Vibranium-based technology which certainly counter-acts Wolverine's Adamantium.

5 DEFEAT: Korg Is Too Nice For This Fight

Free Guy trailer breakdown brings Deadpool to the MCU

When Thor met Korg, he was an enslaved gladiator on Sakaar. They became friends and ended up fighting side by side to save as much as Asgard as they could. He's a loyal friend, to say the least.

While Korg is big, strong, and made of rock, he's also a really nice guy. He doesn't have the killer instinct necessary to survive in a fight against the likes of Wolverine. Wherever his internal organs are, Wolverine would cut his way to them.

4 LOSE TO: Gamora Might Be A Better Fighter

Calling Gamora's childhood difficult would be a galactic level understatement. After killing half of her home world's population, Thanos essentially kidnapped her and raised her to be the most dangerous woman in the universe.

Without question, Gamora has what it takes to beat Wolverine. But what makes her even more dangerous is the fact that she has access to a universe filled with advanced technology and weaponry for her to use against him.

3 DEFEAT: Spider-Man Doesn't Have The Killer Instinct

The relationship between Spider-Man and Wolverine in the comics is an interesting one. It started off contentious, mainly because Spider-Man really annoyed Wolverine. But they eventually grew to become close friends and allies.

It's hard to say how things would pan out in the MCU on the friend front. What is certain is that Spider-Man is not going to beat him in a fight. He's still pretty new to the game and simply cannot handle the likes of Wolverine.

2 LOSE TO: Hulk Is The Fight Fans Want To See

The MCU Hulk yelling

Wolverine and Hulk have a complicated and incredibly violent relationship. Wolverine's first appearance in the comics was part of an all-out fight between them. While things have become more cordial over the years, any meeting between them could turn ugly.

It's unlikely that the situation would be much better in the MCU. As such, a confrontation is all but inevitable. And Wolverine certainly does not have the power to defeat him. If he's lucky, the Hulk won't utterly smash him.

1 DEFEAT: Captain America Would Lose To Wolverine

When Steve Rogers left the role of Captain America behind, he asked his good friend Sam Wilson to take over. He might have taken a roundabout path to get there, but Sam has finally become the new Cap and it looks like he'll have the position on lock.

Sam has the shield, his upgraded Falcon suit, and years of combat experience. That isn't enough to deal with Wolverine, though. It would be one heck of a fight but not one that Cap would win. Wolverine is just too vicious.
