Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness has a new director by the name of Sam Raimi. We've seen his directing style previously in the comic book genre when he gave his talents to producing a trilogy based on the web-head.

While Spider-Man is an incredibly popular character that worked well within Sam Raimi's style of film making, there's plenty of other Marvel characters that would also benefit from his talents. Here's 10 of those heroes and villains.

10 Ghost Rider

A great reason for Sam Raimi taking over the Doctor Strange based franchise is that he has a background in horror. Other horror based characters may also, therefore, benefit from his directorial choices.

Ghost Rider is one such character. Having appeared in the Midnight Sons alongside Doctor Strange in the comics, he could even be a great character to have as part of the master of the mystic art's movie.

9 Magik

Magik is one of the characters that Marvel can have access to again now that the Fox merger is complete. With Disney having purchased the character, she can be used to her full effect, much like she is in the comics.

The character combines dark magic and over the top sequences which are exactly in Raimi's wheelhouse. Once again, this is even a character that could work well in his upcoming debut for Marvel Studios and the MCU.

8 Spider-Man

While we've seen him direct Spider-Man before, which is why so many fans are excited to watch him take on new characters, there's something to be said about returning to the friendly neighbourhood web-slinger.

However, while Peter Parker seems to be in good hands in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Raimi could be a great director to bring Miles Morales to live-action. His style is obviously perfect and he knows how to deal with this spider-verse.

7 Blade

Another horror-based character now; the news has been out for a while that Marvel's resident vampire hunter will be making his MCU debut on Disney Plus. It would be great to have Raimi in to direct at least one episode of the show.

His horror background lends itself to this project, but the cinematic history of the character can also find itself in the over the top category and comic booky style that Raimi is familiar with. His graphic choices could result in some great moments.

6 The Hood

The Hood is a character that could face off against Doctor Strange at some point in the future and combines Raimi's many talents. There's a grit to the character that's also combined with magical absurdity.

Raimi might be able to bring some realism and grit to this character while also embracing the magic that he is capable of. It's a villain that could be strengthened under the direction of Sam Raimi.

5 The Wasp

The Wasp has already had her own film alongside Ant-Man, but she's a character that could absolutely benefit from Sam Raimi's style. If there was to ever be a solo project for the character, Raimi would be a perfect director for it.

The character can sometimes not be taken seriously, but Raimi is great at bringing a bit of weight to even the smallest of characters. His style is colorful and fast-paced, which suits the character, while also giving the Wasp a lot more credit.

4 Man-Thing

Man-Thing is an incredibly odd character that needs a strong vision in order for it to work. While his camera style will certainly help pose the character to audiences, it's his narrative talents that are useful here.

This marshland creature is difficult to sell to audiences without a very strong narrative. Sam Raimi has the experience to be able to flesh out even the most bizarre of characters.

3 Hobgoblin

Ned Leeds has been introduced to the MCU. If there's one director that would be able to believably take this character, that frankly has been used for comic relief and turned into a villain it's Raimi.

Fans have really wanted to see Leeds finally make his turn as the Hobgoblin and it's only Raimi that could have the vision to be able to actually make this transition work.

2 Tigra

Tigra is a slightly different character compared to many on this list, but she would face similar problems to that of Man-Thing. There needs to be a touch of realism in the way that she is presented to audiences.

The character is quite bizarre and combines some magical aspects, as well as some quite cheesy components. These are elements that Sam Raimi might be able to balance.

1 Mephisto

Mephisto is a character that could very well appear in the sequel featuring the sorcerer supreme. He's dark, gritty but certainly contains some theatrical elements, all of which are in Raimi's capabilities.

The famous director might actually have a take on the character that others wouldn't have thought of. The devil as it were, as been portrayed in film many times; Marvel's Mephisto deserves something a little more unique.
