Captain Marvel is one of the many films that make up the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It is focused on Captain Marvel, also known as Carol Danvers, who struggles to recover her missing memories as she lives among the Kree. The Kree convince her that she is one of them, but she realizes that the Kree actually hunt down and crush anyone who opposes their rule and that they kidnapped her and tried to suppress her powers.

Once she finds herself again, she becomes more powerful than ever, fighting off her fake comrades to protect her friends. It is an inspiring film focused on female empowerment, but the film does sport a few flaws. Here are 10 things that don't make sense about the film Captian Marvel.

10 The Skrull Tried To Fool A Kree Sniper

When the Kree group first arrived on the planet inhabited by Skrulls, they didn't realize that the natives that approached them were Skrulls. A sniper was positioned a large distance away from the fight but was distracted by a disguised Skrull, pretending to be one of her comrades. He tells her that the natives are just hungry, but she quickly realizes sees her real comrade fighting a Skrull, which gives him away. The Skrull should have attacked earlier, while the sniper was busy staring at the battlefield.

9 The Kree As A Twist Villain

Many, if not most of the viewers of this film, have seen previous MCU movies. One film, Guardians Of The Galaxy, already used the Kree as the major villains. Captain Marvel pretends that the Skrulls are the villains, but a lot of fans weren't fooled. If the Skrulls were chosen as the actual villains, their ability to assume the form of other people would have made them a huge threat. However, it's likely that this direction wasn't taken, or Captain Marvel would be too similar to another movie that was released around the same time.

8 Nick Calling For Backup

Although Nick did not realize that his boss was actually a Skrull in disguise, he received advice to trust no one. If he had listened to this, then he never would have been betrayed by S.H.I.E.L.D after paging them for help. This also goes against the hardened nature of his that fans are used to. The current Nick Fury would never trust anyone, and he even stated in Captain America: The Winter Soldier that he learned not to trust people from his father, who had to carry a gun around to ensure his safety.

7 Changing Captain Marvel's Suit

Monica changes Captain Marvel's suit to neon

The controls on Captain Marvel's arm seem complex. However, she offers Monica Rambeau, her friend's daughter, a chance to choose the colors on her Kree uniform. Although there is a rainbow spectrum of colors to choose from, it's unclear as to exactly how it works.

Three segments of the suit can be changed, but randomly rubbing the red section of the arm panel made the colors change to gold, red, and blue. There is even an option to make the suit glow neon, but it's even harder to understand how the panel can make that happen.

6 The Skrulls Don't Explain Why Goose Is Scary

When faced with the Flerken, the Skrulls are understandably upset by its presence. It looks like a cat, but it can eat entire people, making even the Kree consider it to be a threat. The Skrulls do tell Nick that he is holding a terrifying monster, but they don't take the time to tell him why they want nothing to do with it. Although it's likely that Nick wouldn't have believed them, a little warning might have made the humans a little more prepared for what was going to happen later.

5 No Interference When Captain Marvel Fought The Supreme Intelligence

When Captain Marvel reveals that she remembers everything about her past, the Kree restrain her and force her to meet with the Supreme Intelligence, the absolute ruler of the Kree Empire. They assume that the Supreme Intelligence will make her submit, but the limiter on her neck begins to spark, the lights on the ship flicker, and she starts to glow. Despite all of these warning signs, the Kree make no move to step in, which gives her ample time to break free.

4 Goose Eating People

It was scary and hilarious to see the Flerken, Goose, open its mouth and shoot out tentacles, which grabbed a few people and flung them around before he finally ate them. Four people disappeared into his mouth, and it leaves fans wondering how something like that is even possible.

It's never explained how Goose is able to fit so many people into his small, cat-like body, nor whether this is something that he commonly does or not. Hopefully he's been on a strict diet of cat food.

3 Captain Marvel Knew How To Fly

Captain Marvel doesn't fly, nor does she know she can fly until the end of the movie. Somehow, she figures out that she is capable of doing so while she is plummeting down to Earth. At first, it seems hopeless. However, instead of panicking as anyone else would have, she closes her eyes, relaxes for a few seconds, and suddenly her eyes are glowing, and she's rocketing into the sky. She's a master at flying as well, looking completely comfortable in both the sky and in space.

2 No Revenge Taken On Earth

Ronan the Accuser loses one of his ships to Captain Marvel. Despite the Kree knowing where Captain Marvel came from and where she got her powers, they did not make any attempt to search Earth for more information, or to even take revenge on her for her supposed betrayal. Although Earth may be considered a weakness of hers, there's no mention of the Kree making an attempt to attack it while Captain Marvel is on the other side of the universe.

1 Nick Fury Trusting Goose

Like any sane person, Nick drops Goose the moment he sees him spit out a multitude of tentacles. Despite this, Goose quickly gains his trust back by offering him a sense of security, saving his life by eating the enemies. Despite knowing how dangerous Goose was, he kept treating him like a regular cat, which led to him getting scratched in one eye. Additionally, he even buys a cat bed and keeps Goose in his office. It's a surprising act of forgiveness.
