Mahershala Ali is currently slated to bring Blade to the Marvel Cinematic Universe at some point in 2022, which means the titular vampire hunting hero is going to start fighting things that go bump in the night sooner rather than later. However, there are a lot of questions about just who Blade is going to face once he appears. In this video, we're going to look at how he might end up having to take on Morbius, the Living Vampire, and his vampire apocalypse.

Currently, Morbius -- played by Jared Leto -- is set to headline his own Sony Marvel film at some point later this year. His exact relation to the MCU isn't clear at this time, but there were a number of references in the first trailer for Morbius that hinted the connection between Sony's Marvel films and the MCU is stronger than ever. This has, in turn, caused people to speculate the multiverse is going to play a big role in bringing in some of the characters who haven't appeared in the MCU thus far. As such, we think Blade might just end up getting introduced or set up in Morbius and initially be part of the multiverse.

Following the events of Avengers: Endgame, it's not totally clear just what shape the next phase of the Marvel Cinematic Universe will take. While there's a good indication the characters that Disney acquired from 21st Century Fox will soon arrive, there's not much solid information on just when or how that might happen. Right now, there are a lot of potential directions the MCU could take going forward, though exactly which one it will take remains to be seen.
