Stars from the Marvel Cinematic Universe's (MCU) Avengers and Guardians of the Galaxy films will reunite for a virtual fundraiser to benefit Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden.

According to Variety, the event, titled "Voters Assemble," will feature Don Cheadle (War Machine), Chris Evans (Captain America), Scarlett Johansson (Black Widow), Paul Rudd (Ant-Man), Mark Ruffalo (Hulk) and Zoe Saldana (Gamora). Vice presidential candidate Sen. Kamala Harris and Avengers: Endgame directors Joe and Anthony Russo will also be in attendance.

The fundraiser will take place on Oct. 20 at 6:45 p.m. ET. Fans can donate any amount of money they wish to the Joe Biden Victory Fund to attend.

This is the latest Democratic fundraiser to feature Hollywood personalities and stars. Star Wars star Mark Hamill participated in an event with Biden in late June, while the cast of The Princess Bride held a virtual script reading to benefit the Democratic Party in Wisconsin. And while not associated with the Democrats directly, Parks and Recreation reunited for a special Zoom episode to benefit Feeding America's COVID-19 Response Fund.

The MCU was supposed to begin Phase 4 this past May with Johansson's Black Widow. However, the coronavirus pushed the entire slate back. Black Widow is now scheduled to premiere on May 7, 2021. Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings will follow on July 9, 2021. Eternals comes next on Nov. 5, 2021. After that will be the untitled Spider-Man 3 on Dec. 17, 2021, Thor: Love and Thunder on Feb. 11, 2022 and Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness on March 25, 2022.

Marvel's TV programming was also delayed due to the virus. The Falcon and the Winter Soldier was supposed to kick off the lineup in August but was pushed back to 2021.WandaVision will take its place as the first Disney+ MCU series and may premiere in November. Other series in the works include Loki, Hawkeye, She-Hulk, Ms. Marvel, Moon Knight and a drama centered on Nick Fury. An animated What If...? show is also in the works.
