With shows like Hawkeye and Ms. Marvel just around the corner and many more Disney+ shows in development, it is clear that streaming will be a huge focus for the Marvel Cinematic Universe from now on. Marvel shows on Disney+ have huge production values and budgets more akin to big-screen films than any Marvel television shows that have come before, making some of the biggest names in Hollywood obtainable.

Fan speculation has been running wild with fan-casting and excitement is high when considering who could potentially show up. Whether they are an actor from a previous Marvel property, or a new actor to the MCU entirely, there are some stars that fans really want to see in Marvel streaming shows.

10 Fans Want Lana Condor To Have Another Shot At Jubilee

Lana Condor Jubilee

Even Peters playing a version of Quicksilver in Wandavision shows there is a precedent for actors from Fox's Marvel franchise reprising their roles. Though Peters didn't exactly play his Quicksilver from Fox's X-Men franchise, much to fans' disappointment, that doesn't mean other actors can't still play their same characters. Lana Condor as Jubilee was a brilliant casting decision by Fox.

Sadly, the casting went to waste, and Condor's Jubilee was hardly utilized at all. Lana Condor's fame has only risen since her brief stint as Jubilee with shows like Netflix's To All The Boys. Both Condor and Jubilee deserve better, and this is one casting that Marvel would do well not to forget about.

9 Fans Want Clark Gregg's Phil Coulson Resurrected Again

Phil Coulson inside a gas station

Clarke Gregg played Phil Coulson since the very beginning of the MCU, and then again for years after his Avengers death on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. that aired on ABC. While that shows has almost certainly been rendered non-canon at this point, Gregg and Coulson are already well established in the MCU and could easily return in a future Disney+ series.

Gregg technically has already returned to voice his character in episode 3 of Marvel's What If...?, so it would not be a stretch to assume he could easily show up again in live-action, especially with the multiverse now coming into play.

8 Anna Kendrick Is Still A Fan-Favorite For Squirrel Girl

Anna Kendrick Holding Juice Pouch

Anna Kendrick was long the fan-favorite to play Squirrel Girl in the MCU, and while fan casting rarely becomes a reality, anything is possible. Squirrel Girl is a character that would likely not debut in a solo movie, but Marvel's newfound focus on streaming means that she wouldn't have to have her origin in film.

In addition, the movie-sized budgets that Disney+ series receive indicate that casting a star like Kendrick is possible, even for an out-there property like Squirrel Girl. Ironically, had Freeform's New Warriors pilot gone forward, Squirrel Girl would have likely been put on the back-burner. With the cancellation of that series, however, Kendrick as Squirrel Girl remains a possibility, no matter how small it may be.

7 Fans Really Want John Krasinski In The MCU

John Krasinski As Reed Richards Fan Art

John Krasinski as Mister Fantastic and Emily Blunt as Invisible Woman might be the most talked-about fan casting in MCU history. Still, if that ever did become a reality, they would make their debut on the big screen in the upcoming Fantastic Four reboot. For Krasinski, there is another possible character he could play in Marvel's wider multiverse.

Before Chris Evans was cast as Captain America, John Krasinski was the favorite, and he only just missed out on the role to Evans. Any number of upcoming Disney+ projects that explore the multiverse could feature Krasinski as a different version of Captain America.

6 Fans Want Anya Taylor-Joy To Play Magik In The MCU

Magik New Mutants Anya Taylor-Joy

New Mutants was the last remnant of Fox's X-Men franchise, and when the long-delayed film was finally released, it came and went with little fanfare. However, an extremely well-received aspect of the film was Anya Taylor-Joy as Illyana Rasputin, aka Magik. So far, there is no confirmation that Marvel will carry over any X-Men characters from fox aside from Ryan Reynold's Deadpool. If they do, however, they should seriously consider keeping Taylor-Joy on as Magik.

Anya Taylor-Joy is one of the most popular young stars at the moment, and her portrayal of Magik looks like she was ripped right off the page. Any upcoming show that features mutants or magic could feature Illyana. Likewise, the character would be exciting enough for Taylor-Joy to carry a show of her own.

5 Fans Want Liam Hemsworth To Audition Again

Liam Hemsworth In Suit Close Up Headshot

Another high-profile casting was Liam Hemsworth losing out on the role of Thor to his brother. Marvel undoubtedly made the right choice in hindsight, but that doesn't mean Liam Hemsworth couldn't still join the MCU as another character. Like Krasinski, Hemsworth could play an alternate version of Thor from somewhere else in the Marvel multiverse.

Alternatively, he could play another character closely associated with the God of Thunder, perhaps Marvel's Hercules. With all the announcements of Marvel shows on Disney+, none have been centered on any characters from the Thor films. If Marvel does eventually debut a Thor-related show, it would be a great opportunity for Liam Hemsworth to receive a role.

4 Fans Want More Of Krysten Ritter's Jessica Jones

Krysten Ritter as Jessica Jones

Charlie Cox is heavily rumored to be reprising his role as Matt Murdock and make an appearance in Spider-Man: No Way Home. If Cox does return, it could open the door for more characters from Netflix to make the jump to the MCU. Besides Daredevil, the character from Netflix fans really want to carry over is Krysten Ritter's Jessica Jones.

Jessica herself is rumored to appear in the upcoming She-Hulk Disney+ series, though it is far from confirmed. Until Spider-Man: No Way Home releases, fans are left in the dark on how Netflix's characters will be re-introduced, or if they will even be returning at all.

3 Fans Want To See Jeffery Wright As The Watcher In Live-Action

The-Batman-Jeffrey-Wright-Jim-Gordon

Jeffery Wright already has a large role on Disney+, serving as the narrator of Marvel's What If...? animated series. However, it would be a waste for an actor of Wright's caliber to remain in a voiceover role only, and fans are already hoping Wright will show up as The Watcher in one of Marvel's live-action series.

With The Watcher gradually taking a more active role in What If...?, it would make sense for him to eventually become involved in live-action multiversal events. With the season finale of Loki resulting in so many branching timelines, season 2 would be a good place for The Watcher to potentially appear.

2 Fans Want Chloe Bennet To Come Back As Quake

Chloe Bennet in Agents of Shield

Coulson might be the most likely character from Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. to return, but the character fans want to see return the most is Chloe Bennet's Daisy Johnson. Marvel has several options on how they could proceed when it comes to reintroducing Bennet to the MCU. They could establish that everything that happened in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. occurred in an alternate timeline, and then simply have Bennet appear as the same character in a separate show or even her own Quake spinoff set in the proper MCU.

Alternatively, following the sacred timeline version of Daisy would allow Marvel the freedom to give her a new origin without any previous baggage. Regardless, if Marvel does have plans for Quake in the future, fans hope Bennet is the only one considered for the role.

1 Fans Want Robert Downey Jr. In Ironheart

Robert Downey Jr. has made himself an icon as Tony Stark, AKA Iron Man

Whether on television or the big screen, the one actor that fans want to see is Robert Downey Jr. making his return as Tony Stark. While a fourth Iron Man or an Avengers return is unlikely, a Disney+ appearance for Robert Downey Jr. is surprisingly plausible. Fans have been speculating that Downey could appear as an artificial intelligence version of himself in the upcoming Ironheart series starring Dominique Thorne.

Appearing as an AI would allow Tony Stark and Downey to still be in the MCU going forward and have a mentoring relationship with Riri Willaims without undoing his sacrifice. AI Tony is how fans want to see Downey return; Disney and Marvel just need to make it happen.
