McFarlane Toys has said "As you wish" to fans of the cult classic romantic adventure film The Princess Bride, creating a set of four action figures to be released soon.

An image of the figures for farm boy Westley as the Dread Pirate Roberts (Cary Elwes), the giant Fezzik (Andre the Giant), vengeful swordsman Inigo Montoya (Mandy Patinkin) and the titular princess herself Buttercup (Robin Wright) were shared on the company's official Instagram earlier this week with the caption, "The Princess Bride is coming soon! Stay tuned for pre-orders launching next week..."

No information on the scale of the figures has been provided yet, but Fezzik fittingly towers above them all. They are fully posable and each character comes with a specialized accessory. Westley and Inigo each have their swords, so fans can recreate their duel atop the Cliffs of Insanity. Buttercup has a full cloth skirt as part of her iconic red dress. Fezzik even comes with the rock he threatens Westley with during their own confrontation.

The 1987 fantasy film directed by Rob Reiner follows the exploits of the two young lovers Westley and Buttercup as they are reunited after a lengthy separation amidst the machinations of the evil Prince Humperdinck (Chris Sarandon), his lackey Count Rugen (Christopher Guest) and the scheming Vizzini (Wallace Shawn).

While not initially a box office smash, it has gone on to become one of the most beloved and quoted films in modern history. There was even a Princess Bride reboot of sorts last year on the short-lived streaming platform Quibi, with several new guest stars taking on the iconic roles from the safety of their homes during the height of COVID-19 lockdowns.
