The heroes of the Marvel Universe have a bevy of characteristics. For some, readers only see one or two of these traits. Other heroes wear their characteristics on their sleeves.

When revealed, these heroes match up to indicators determined by the Myers-Briggs® Personality Test. One of these is the Executive, or ESTJ. Extroverted, observant, and thoughtful, these individuals tend to offer solid leadership. To find out who on Earth-616 is like this, here are 10 Marvel superheroes who are ESTJs.

10 Captain America

Captain America by Alex Ross

When heroes like Wolverine and Deadpool say, "Yes, sir," when Captain America gives a command, you know he's an ESTJ. Regardless of what has happened over time, Steve Rogers is the United States. When he talks, E.F. Hutton listens.

Save for that Hydra incident, Captain America offers solid leadership. He's an observant planner and quick thinker. It's why he can careen his shield off seven surfaces to strike an opponent.

9 Cyclops

Similar to Captain America, Scott Summers had some past moments where he faltered. Killing Professor X while he was endowed with the Phoenix Force is one example. Getting into a fight with Wolverine over the role of Xavier's school is another.

Outside of these, Cyclops has been one of the greatest X-Men leaders. He was there to motivate the group through a massive transition in the 1970s and helped them get through the Dark Phoenix saga. He's been the one who most personifies Xavier's beliefs about mutant-human co-existence.

8 Deadpool

Yes, you're on the right list. Deadpool was a leader at one time. He's also incredibly observant, particularly when a hero or villain tends to be lying. Furthermore, he is the picture of fortitude.

Wade Wilson is in constant pain due to his treatments. Also, others tend to doubt his sincerity. Still, he pushes through to make things right. It may mean making some (many) mistakes along the way, but he's able to turn possible disasters into successes. This is why the superhero community reluctantly admires him.

7 Spider-Gwen

Spider-Gwen

There are a few reasons why this version of Gwen Stacy is an ESTJ, and they relate to fortitude. For one thing, she couldn't save her best friend Peter Parker from dying. At that point, Spider-Gwen could have given up. Yet, she resolved to take her job as a superhero seriously.

Another is the fact she was ripped from her dimension and landed on Earth-616. Not only was it unnerving but also tragic as she met Peter as Spider-Man. Still, she stayed strong through the "Spider-Verse" saga and continues to be a major player.

6 Magneto

Magneto

When it comes to the ESTJ trait of fortitude, Magneto has stood tall through many tragedies. Take your pick of the worst of them. Perhaps it's his failure at leading the X-Men and New Mutants. It could be the destruction of Genosha. Maybe it's the death of his son Quicksilver and the insanity of his daughter Scarlet Witch.

True, he was momentarily knocked for a loop. However, it didn't stop him from making his next moves. Now that he's part of the new X-Men structure, Magneto's fortitude is needed to ensure Xavier's nation-state remains stable.

5 Rocket Raccoon

Rocket Raccoon isn't simply genetically created being who loves large weapons. He's also a strategist and an ally. Plus, he has an enormous heart underneath that fur. If you doubt this, then look at his relationship with Groot.

Also, like others on this list, he has to withstand numerous accusations that he's a talking rodent with a gun. To this, he'll either explain his situation or, if in a foul mood, shoot your leg off. In the end, you want to get on the good side of this ESTJ to gain a life-long friend.

4 Nick Fury

Nick Fury in The Avengers

When you're the leader of a covert organization with many facets, you have to have the gumption to handle everything. This is a composite of Nick Fury. You'll find him filling out paperwork one minute. Minutes later, he'll be in the midst of a battle with Hydra. Not only does he have the fortitude, but he's also a multitasker.

Thanks to his military training, Fury is observant. It's the reason why several stellar individuals became S.H.I.E.L.D agents first before they decided to go solo. Furthermore, it's why remained the organization's leader.

3 Storm

Even before she led the X-Men, readers knew Storm was a unique mutant. As revealed in her 1975 introduction, she wasn't shy of revealing her powers to help others. Also, she had the knowledge to take charge when things when the team was on the verge of falling apart.

Throughout her life, Storm has survived a large amount of adversity. She became an orphan when her parents were killed and temporarily lost her powers. On top of that, she's seen her share of death and destruction. Nevertheless, Storm continues to survive and lead.

2 Hawkeye

Some don't consider Hawkeye an ESTJ. He's brash, stubborn, and tends to go his own way. Other than Captain America, he doesn't have much respect for authority. Nevertheless, Clint is on this list because he is a true leader.

When Captain America isn't around, people turn to Hawkeye for assistance. He's able to think on his feet, and he sees talent where others don't. Out of the heroes that have passed through the Avengers and Thunderbolts, Clint is one of the few who wants to maintain their traditions.

1 Wolverine

Wolverine grinning as he extends his claws in art by Frank Miller.

Since his introduction to the X-Men in the mid-1970s, Logan has been the go-to guy for guidance when neither Professor X nor Cyclops was around. Granted, he normally gives advice opposite to what the other two would provide. He doesn't outright dismiss it. He simply puts it in another light.

Fortitude is another reason why Wolverine is an ESTJ. He's overcome several deep problems. He had to kill his former fiancée, he learned he was part of a government project, he died several times and returned to life. If he can survive these and be a positive influence, then he definitely has fortitude.
