The following contains spoilers from Mayor of Kingstown Season 2, Episode 10, "Little Green Ant," now streaming on Paramount+. It also contains strong language and descriptions of violence.

Mayor of Kingstown Season 2 hurtles into its final act with the action Paramount+ audiences had been waiting for since the premiere revealed Milo Sunter was alive. After being attacked by Bunny's crew in retaliation, Robert lies clinging to life in a hospital bed while Mike and Kyle McLusky are among the dozens of people wondering what to do next. "He's gonna make it... Right, Mike?" Kyle says but his brother can't reassure him. Instead, Kyle tells Mike that Tracy left him and got out of Kingstown. Mike tells Kyle to go be with his wife before blowing out of the hospital to meet Milo.

While waiting at a railroad crossing, Mike finds his car sprayed with bullets. He's able to kill all three of his Aryan Brotherhood assailants, but the incident makes him miss Milo's midnight deadline. A desperate Mike steals the shooters' SUV in a last-ditch effort, not knowing that Iris is actually hiding in a shed at the McLusky home, much to the shock of Mariam. Elsewhere, Captain Kareem Moore is struggling emotionally again, but still takes Mike's call... just to tell Mike that he doesn't want any part of what's happening. That forces Mike to phone Ian, who agrees to clean up the shooting scene.

Mayor of Kingstown Iris with a facial bruise outside of Kyle's shed

Mayor of Kingstown shows Mike's former friend Bunny Washington enjoying his evening -- until Mike arrives with one of his crew members at gunpoint, demanding to know what they did to Robert. When Mike turns his gun on Bunny, Bunny clears the rooftop... but not before he gives explicit orders to kill Mike should he shoot. The two argue about the status of Kingstown, with Bunny vowing that he'll go through Mike if it comes down to that. Dejected by the decline of their friendship and his inability to hold everything together, Mike leaves quietly. He has a bigger problem: Milo has found his way into the McLusky house. "Did you forget about me?" he quips.

Mike assures Milo that he has his money and is on his way -- but then informs Kyle about the situation. Kyle, who's still at the hospital, is floored by how badly the situation has escalated and agrees to meet his brother at home. He brings Ian, so there are two witnesses when Mike admits he left Milo's bonds behind in his now ex-car. They have nothing to trade for Mariam and Iris' lives. Mike decides to enter the house unarmed, at which point Milo rhapsodizes about Joseph being in over his head. He asks Mike if he's in the same predicament, and doesn't believe where Mike has been or what's made him so late.

But never fear: Kyle and Ian are out back, opening fire and dispatching several of Milo's expendable henchmen. As Milo drags Iris away, Mike shields his mother before he and his brother slay the remaining bad guys. Unfortunately, Mariam is hit by one of Kyle's bullets. The development causes Kyle to panic, remembering his former partner's murder. They rush their mother to the hospital. Some time later, Ian tells the McLusky brothers that Mariam will be okay, but Kyle is still agonizing over the fact that he accidentally shot his own mom. Mike firmly reassures him that he's a good man who made a mistake, and he'll live with it for his wife and unborn child.

Mayor of Kingstown Mike stands with Ian on the street

In the wake of his family home looking like Swiss cheese, Mike vows to finish the fight. He and Ian plot how to take down Milo as they leave the hospital, with their first stop being the nightclub. They make their way upstairs and threaten Tatiana into calling Milo to arrange another meeting. "If I don't kill him, he's coming after you," Mike tells Tatiana, advising her to take her and Joseph's child and get out of town. But like everyone in Mayor of Kingstown, she says she can take care of herself. At least Kyle is finally able to connect with Tracy, who agrees to return and reassures him that she loves him. Afterward, he sits at Robert's bedside and tells his unconscious colleague "It fucking sucks out here."

After making arrangements with Carney back at Anchor Bay Prison, Mike retrieves Milo's bonds from the trunk of his car. Milo brings Iris to the dock, where she looks wistfully at the boat. Everything seemed so peaceful back then. Milo suggests that Mike "sees his own salvation in saving you" but adds that he'll realize what she really is. Similarly, Ian suggests that Mike let both Milo and Iris go; he responds by asking Ian to shoot everyone but him if things go wrong. The closing minutes of Mayor of Kingstown Season 2 involve Bunny's crew sending a "message from the mayor" to the Aryan Brotherhood before Mike steps onto the boat to face Milo again. He completes the trade for Iris -- but as Milo speeds away, the boat explodes.

Ian, Iris and Mike collectively dispatch the last of Milo's thugs before watching the boat burn from the dock. Another voiceover from Mike flows over updates on all the major players. Robert's wife continues to wait for him to wake up. Bunny ponders his future on the rooftop, as does Kyle at the hospital, more dejected than ever. Most importantly, Tatiana gets a call from Milo, who tells her "everything went fine" -- yes, he's somehow cheated death a second time. So after 10 episodes, very little has been solved in Kingstown.

Mayor of Kingstown Season 2 is now streaming on Paramount+.
