Rumor: Matt Reeves' Batman Film Moving Forward, Hiring Crew

Director Matt Reeves' untitled Batman movie, typically referred to as The Batman, may be moving full speed ahead.

According to Batman on Film, crew are being hired to work on the Dark Knight's next big-screen adventure, which means pre-production could potentially begin soon. The website speculates that, if this update is true, the Caped Crusader's solo could go in front of the cameras in 2019, and aim for release in 2020 or 2021

In March, Heroic Hollywood also reported that The Batman could begin production next year. As for the movie's script, Reeves confirmed in January that the story is "worked out" and he's outlining.

Meanwhile, rumors continue to pop up about whether Ben Affleck will reprise his role as Bruce Wayne. Previous reports claimed Jake Gyllenhaal could put on the cape and cowl, but the actor as insisted he won't be replacing Affleck (he is, however, reportedly set to play Mysterio in Spider-Man: Far From Home.

It's possible fan could expect some more official update about The Batman next month during Warner Bros.' Hall H presentation at Comic-Con International in San Diego.
