The upcoming fourth installment of the Matrix sounds delicious -- or, at least, its working title does.

As revealed in Production Weekly, Matrix 4's working title is Project Ice Cream. Of course, a project's working title doesn't necessarily indicate anything about the story. Often, they're used to maintain secrecy during filming. For instance, The Avengers' working title was Group Hug, while Star Wars: Return of the Jedi went by Blue Harvest.

Last month, Warner Bros. and Village Roadshow Pictures confirmed that a fourth Matrix film is in the works. The film will be written and directed by Lana Wachowski, one half of the sibling directorial team that helmed the original trilogy, Lilly Wachowski being the other half of that team.

“Many of the ideas Lilly and I explored 20 years ago about our reality are even more relevant now,” Lana Wachowski said. “I’m very happy to have these characters back in my life and grateful for another chance to work with my brilliant friends.”

Wachowski will be joined by Keanu Reeves and Carrie-Anne Moss, who will reprise their roles as Neo and Trinity. Michael B. Jordan has also expressed interest in playing a young Morpheus, though he has not been confirmed for the project at this time. The film is expected to go into production in early 2020.
