WARNING: The following contains spoilers for the first part of Season 1 of Masters of the Universe: Revelation, now available on Netflix.

The first five episodes of Masters of the Universe: Revelation pack a lot in as the rebirth of Teela is detailed. She initially abandoned Eternia after the death of He-Man and Skeletor, angered about the kingdom's lies and Prince Adam's secret. But now, she's working with villains such as Evil-Lyn and Beast Man, as well as her own crew of heroes to reforge He-Man's Sword of Power and bring magic back to the planet. Sadly, a sinister betrayal wrecks her plans as Part 1 ends, so let's break down how this sets up Part 2 of the Masters of the Universe: Revelation's Season 1.

Retaking the Sword of Power

Skeletor and He-Man in Masters of the Universe: Revelation

Teela's team reforged the sword in Preternia and then returned to the land of the living with Prince Adam in tow. Sadly, just as he was about to call Grayskull's power down, he was impaled by Skeletor, who hid out in Lyn's wand-staff. The villain stole the sword and became a Master of the Universe, so Part 2 has to focus on the heroes stealing the weapon back.

The immediate plan will be to escape Skeletor's wrath as this dark god will be looking to kill them quickly and turn the place into Castle Skeletor. With his ego, he may well choose to enslave them, though, so they can enjoy his rulership, but that'd give Teela and Co. chance to rebel. With Fisto and Clamp Champ already spotted, she could get Man-at-Arms to bring in other heroes like Ram Man, Stratos and Zodac. With magic back, Sorceress may also be able to use Eternia's power orb and harness the energy of creation to help the mission by finding the missing Trollans to use as mystical allies.

Teela as the New Champion

This franchise has always had legacy as a theme and it's been foreshadowed that Teela's meant for greatness. She already met and was inspired by past champions in Preternia, and seeing as she's done so much heavy lifting, Part 2 could see her embracing her destiny to succeed Adam. She loves Eternia and has always been loyal in her duty to protecting it, so this is the next organic step.

It'd feel like a smart, timely passing of the baton, acting as a feminist statement and inspiring young girls via this She-Woman. Seeing her dad, Man-at-Arms, training her would also be a delight and shape a progressive move a la Star Wars and Rey Skywalker. Following Netflix's success with the She-Ra revamp, such a diverse twist in the story would really help evolve Eternia's journey, which has mostly been male-driven.

Fixing Eternos, Eternia's Capital

Adam, King Randor and Queen Marlena in Masters of the Universe: Revelation

If Adam survives and passes the mantle, Part 2 can focus on his regal duties and preparing to take the crown from King Randor someday. His mom, Queen Marlena, doesn't want him in the line of fire anymore, so it'd add a new spin to the character and make him more of a son and servant to the crown. The first thing Adam needs to do is fix his dad's rash ways, as Randor lashed out at everyone hiding Adam's secret, banishing Man-at-Arms and Orko, and driving Teela away.

Thus, a lot of trust has been broken. If the series ever reveals that Skeletor is actually Randor's long-lost brother, Keldor, per the franchise's lore, Keldor could kill the king and paint a Game of Thrones-like story of revenge with Adam thrust into the throne. Either way, Adam as a diplomat fits as the land has been ravaged, so a benevolent leader's needed for healing. Fixing things politically and economically may end up being Adam's ultimate test as a diplomat.

Teela's Big Secret

Sorceress and He-Man in Masters of the Universe: Revelation

There are quite a few moments in the series where Man-at-Arms and Sorceress are about to spill some big secret over Teela, only for Lyn to interrupt. As the show progressed, Teela's time in Subternia had her facing her fears, indicating that she doesn't want to be alone. This could soon confirm another secret -- one the 2002 remake dove into -- with her being Man-at-Arms and the Sorceress' daughter.

Teela was said to be a foundling so this will rock her to the core yet tie into that pre-Filmation mystical destiny that's been alluded to in the show. We're not sure how she'll take another lie, though, as she might feel manipulated. The truth about her lineage could make her more powerful, however, if she can harness magic like Sorceress. Accepting the idea of her own family may also be a trump card moving forward.

Teela and Andra's Relationship

Andra's the sidekick Teela's been using so far -- the brains to her brawn. She's shown prowess as an engineer and soldier, so we're excited to see what inventions she and Man-at-Arms can cook up. However, there's chemistry and romantic tension with her and Teela so Part 2 should explore their potential love.

They constantly protect each other in battle and Teela's made it clear that Andra is something "tangible," which gives her purpose. If they pursue a relationship, it'll break ground for this series and align with Netflix's She-Ra and Catra, using the power of love as the ultimate weapon to fight evil. Andra was there when Teela was at her lowest, so it's easy to see her ultimately being what drives Teela to become a better hero.

Lyn's Redemption

Lyn sadly rejoins Skeletor just as he stole the sword, admitting that she was getting to like Teela's crew. But that statement, along with Beast Man reluctantly welcoming the boss back, hints that they could be working an inside job. After she made it clear that Skeletor used her over and over and ruined her life, it's hard to see Lyn giving up her agency like this again.

Part 2 can have her trying to betray Skeletor to get the sword back to its rightful owners. Lyn does want magic to heal the cosmos again, and after trying to save Orko, it's clear she's got the light in her. More so, Orko's sacrifice proved to her who really cared for Eternia and the universe, so backstabbing the dark god can complete her redemption, as well as other villains like Beast Man who don't want to live under an upgraded Skeletor.

Executive produced by Kevin Smith, the first five episodes of Masters of the Universe: Revelation are now available on Netflix.
