Netflix released a new trailer for Masters of the Universe: Revelation - Part 2.

The trailer picks up after the events of Part 1, but perhaps most notable is the confrontation between Skeletor and Prince Adam. After explaining that he doesn't need his Sword of Power to call upon the Power of Grayskull, Adam transforms into Savage He-Man.

Savage He-Man is loosely based on the Wun-Dar action figure from Masters of the Universe Classics toy line, with a new Revelation-inspired figure having recently been announced by Mattel.

"The idea of Savage He-Man is what happens if Adam calls down the power without the sword as a conduit, as something that governs who he becomes," MotU: Revelation creator Kevin Smith recently explained on FatMan Beyond. "At one point in the show, he calls down the power without the sword and becomes the Savage He-Man."

Masters of the Universe: Revelation is Smith's take on a sequel to the 1980s cartoon. However, Part 1 swiftly resulted in backlash from fans who felt the show was a bait-and-switch after featuring He-Man prominently in the trailers and then largely removing him from the equation in the first episode.

"It’s been interesting, seeing who truly is a hardcore fan," Smith said in July. "Because anybody that’s like, ‘Oh, man, there’s not enough He-Man’ or something like that, doesn’t understand the show that we based it on. There were episodes where he lost the sword and he never became He-Man. It wasn’t like He-Man always saved the day. His friends helped him. That was the fucking point of the show."

"I see people online go, ‘Hey man, they’re getting rid of He-Man!' Like, you really fucking think Mattel Television, who hired me and paid me money, wants to do a fucking Masters of the Universe show without He-Man?" he continued. "Grow the fuck up, man. Like, that blew my mind, bunch of people being like, ‘Oh, I smell it. This is a bait and switch.'"

Masters of the Universe: Revelation - Part 2 arrives on Netflix Nov. 23.
