Xbox Games Pass subscribers may be receiving all three remastered Mass Effect games if a reported store listing for the recently released Legendary Edition suggests.

According to Polish site XGP, Mass Effect: Legendary Edition, as well as standalone versions of the original three games, were all listed with the "Games Pass" tag on the official Xbox Store. While there has been no official word on the Legendary Edition's addition to Games Pass, publisher EA has been known to add new titles within a year of release to its subscription service, EA Play. With EA Play available to Game Pass Ultimate Tier users this listing could accurately reflect the eventual launch, or simply be an error due to the two overlapping platforms.

Though it may seem too soon for Mass Effect: Legendary Edition to be available on Games Pass after being released in May, an accelerated launch onto the subscription service could be possible considering the remastered trilogy managed to sell "well above" the publisher's expectations. That said, Games Pass has seen its fair share of newer releases, with titles such as Forza Horizon 5 and Back 4 Blood being added on the days they respectively launched.

Mass Effect: Legendary Edition collects overhauled versions of Mass Effect, Mass Effect 2 and Mass Effect 3, updating the trilogy with various gameplay enhancements and visual improvements. While the original experience is preserved in the remasters, the first Mass Effect saw significant upgrades, as the 14-year-old game was the recipient of improved graphics, loading times, vehicle handling and a more finely tuned combat system. The collection was generally well-received by critics who praised the extensive work done to bring the games up to a modern standard, while still incorporating every bit of DLC into one complete collection.

Owners of Mass Effect: Legendary Edition on PC were recently able to access the long-lost Pinnacle Station DLC for the original game in the series. Thanks to a team of modders, Pinnacle Station is now playable even though the expansion's original source code was long since corrupted and lost. While the original trilogy is still beloved, fans waiting for the next entry into the mainline series were provided with a small update from developer Bioware on the progress of the next game. Along with a teaser image confirming the series' continuation, Bioware assured fans it's "hard at work on the next adventure in the Mass Effect universe."

Mass Effect: Legendary Edition is currently available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
