Austin Powers brings his signature brand of goofy spy work and seduction to Mass Effect in this hilarious fan-made mashup.

The video, created by YouTuber eli_handle_b.wav, reimagines Bioware's iconic sci-fi role-playing game with a silly twist. The stoic guidance of Commander Shepard is replaced with Austin Powers, awoken from cryogenic sleep to repel the Reaper invasion. The video sees Austin running away from a horde of Husks, seducing squadmates Liara, Miranda and Tali, and boldly destroying a Reaper with nothing but a sidearm.

The convincing meme video also shows Austin, much like everyone else, struggling with the controls for the Mako in Mass Effect. Later on, he goes full Renegade and punches a reporter in the face in one of the more memorably bizarre scenes of the trilogy. To finish everything off with a bang, Austin kicks The Catalyst and stops the Reaper's advance in an ending that many may believe to be better than Mass Effect 3's original conclusion.

While Austin Powers may not be involved in the actual Mass Effect games, the series is still well worth checking out. Players will take on the mantle of Commander Shepard, a human who is tasked with building an army to defend against The Reapers, a race of ancient sentient beings that wish to reset all life in the galaxy. The games are regarded by many to be some of the best RPGs ever made, widely praised for their engaging characters and sprawlingly detailed world.
