Emily Blunt's practically perfect nanny arrives back in the lives of the Banks children in the first full-length trailer for Mary Poppins Returns, the sequel to the 1964 Disney classic.

Directed and produced by Rob Marshall, the musical fantasy picks up years after the original, with siblings Michael Banks (Ben Whishaw) and Jane Banks (Emily Mortimer) now grown, and in need of Mary's magic more than ever. With three kids of his own, Michael grapples with life after the death of his wife, Mary Poppins returns to "look after the Banks children," although there's some question as to which generation she means.

Featuring a score by Marc Shaiman and and new original songs with music by Shaiman and lyrics by Scott Wittman and Shaiman, Mary Poppins Returns stars Emily Blunt as Mary Poppins, Lin-Manuel Miranda as the lamplighter Jack, Ben Whishaw as Michael Banks, Emily Mortimer as Jane Banks, Julie Walters as the Banks’ housekeeper Ellen, and Pixie Davies, Nathanael Saleh and Joel Dawson as the Banks children, with Colin Firth as Fidelity Fiduciary Bank’s William Weatherall Wilkins, Meryl Streep as Mary’s eccentric cousin Topsy, Angela Lansbury as the Balloon Lady and and Dick Van Dyke is Mr. Dawes, Jr., the retired chairman of the bank now run by Firth’s character. The film opens Dec. 19.
