A PlayStation 4 modder has unearthed an unused Spider-Cop skin from Marvel's Spider-Man and posted gameplay footage of the skin in action.

Youtuber jedijosh920 shared in-game footage of the outfit, which they discovered under the file name of "hero_spiderman-spidercop model." The outfit is equipped with a traditional police jacket, hat and sunglasses, as well as Stan Lee's iconic mustache. Though the character is incomplete, stuck in a T-Pose with no working animations, it does reveal two of its intended special abilities, one being the ability to spawn friendly cops for in-battle assistance and the other, a backup Donut Drone.

Fans have long speculated Insomniac Games' inclusion of this particular skin due to the game's story mode containing a running gag of Spider-Man dubbing himself Spider-Cop while interacting with Police Captain Yuri Watanabe. The Spider-Cop identity's popularity even led to a cameo appearance by the character in Spider-Geddon #5.

The immense popularity of Marvel's Spider-Man lead to the announcement of Spider-Man: Miles Morales, a standalone expansion game that will be exclusive to PlayStation 5. While little has been revealed about Miles Morales' plot, it has been revealed that the game will see Miles face off against a malevolent corporation, among other villains.

Developed by Insomniac Games and PlayStation Studios, Spider-Man: Miles Morales will be available for the PlayStation 5 this holiday season.
