Marvel's upcoming Disney+ She-Hulk series has recruited Rick and Morty writer Jessica Gao.
According to THR, Gao -- who wrote the fan-favorite "Pickle Rick" episode of Rick and Morty -- will develop and lead the She-Hulk writing team. No other creatives have been announced as of yet.
Disney announced the She-Hulk series in August at the D23 Expo, along with Ms. Marvel and Moon Knight. While little is known about the project, a report from last month suggests it could bring in The Incredible Hulk's Betty Ross and Thunderbolt Ross.
Debuting in 1980's Savage She-Hulk #1 by Stan Lee and John Buscema, She-Hulk is the alter ego of lawyer Jennifer Walters and the cousin of Bruce Banner. After a near-fatal injury, Banner used a blood transfusion to save her. However, the gamma radiation in his blood that causes him to become the Hulk was transferred to his cousin, resulting in her own affliction. Unlike Bruce, though, Jen can control her transformations, which are only physical, leaving her intelligence and personality intact.
Marvel's She-Hulk will stream exclusively on Disney+. No release date or casting information is available at this time. However, Disney+ launches on Nov. 12.
