A recent leak reveals two more playable heroes for Marvel's Midnight Suns, various release editions and possible release date.According to Niles Ahrensmeier on Twitter, leaked box art revealed several previously unknown details about the upcoming game. Although the images have been subsequently deleted due to a copywriter claim by 2K Games, Ahrensmeier and others managed to report the new reveals. Marvel's Midnight Suns is set to release in three editions -- Standard, Enhanced and Legendary -- on October 6, 2022, with Spider-Man and Scarlet Witch joining the already impressive roster.RELATED: Marvel May Be Working on a Midnight Suns Tie-In Comic

Besides the standard edition, the Enhanced Edition includes the base game plus five premium skins, one each for Captain America (Future Soldier), Captain Marvel (Mar-Vell), Magik (Pheonix 5), Nico Minoru (Sister Grimm) and Wolverine (X-Force). The Legendary Edition includes the Enhanced Edition items plus 23 additional skins, including two for Spider-Man (Symbiote and Demon) and Scarlet Witch (Boss Witch and Fallen Scarlet Witch), and two additional skins for a thus-far unaccounted hero. It also comes with a Season Pass to gain access to four DLC packs, each adding a new playable hero, enemies, missions and more.

Other tidbits revealed in the cover art include two previously unannounced enemies featured on the Legendary Edition box, Venom and Hulk. Each villain, which also includes Sabertooth, possesses demonic horns to match the central baddie of the game, Mother of Demons Lilith. Players take the role of The Hunter, a customizable hero that joins the Midnight Suns to battle against her mother, Lilith. Unlike the other heroes in the game, The Hunter is a completely original addition to the Marvel lineup for this game.

Gamers previously had hints of an upcoming release for Midnight Suns after the game received its age rating in South Korea, something rarely done until the game's development is completed or nearly so. South Korea's Game Rating and Administration Committee rated the game as "suitable for 15 years and over" due to the use of foul language and violence. After being delayed to the back half of 2022, Midnight Suns is rumored to officially announce its release date alongside a new trailer during this year's Summer Games Fest.

Marvel's Midnight Suns is currently expected to release on most platforms, including PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One and Series, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store.
