The coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic has resulted in disruptions across all corners of the entertainment industry, including video games. Sony Interactive Entertainment has now announced delays for two highly-anticipated games, one of them being Marvel's Iron Man VR.The announcement came via social media, on which Sony stated that it "made the difficult decision to delay the launch of The Last of Us Part II and Marvel's Iron Man VR until further notice." It cited the global pandemic and explained that the situation presents a logistical hindrance, one "preventing us from providing the launch experience our players deserve." This is not the first delay that Marvel's Iron Man VR has seen. The game was originally scheduled for release on Feb. 28. In January, Camouflaj announced that the release had been pushed to May 15 in order to better deliver on the experience that gamers expect from the project.

Iron Man VR is being developed as a Playstation VR exclusive. The game provides players with a chance to step into the high-tech boots and gauntlets of Tony Stark in a story centered on the billionaire superhero's battle against Ghost, the anti-capitalist supervillain from the comics. Several other villains are set to appear in the upcoming game.
