When Marvel Studios announced Eternals as their next big project, fans were eager to learn more about the direction for the property. Now at Brazil's CCXP, more news has come forth.Footage from the project was released, allegedly showcasing the Eternals throughout 7,000 years of history. "These people and this planet have changed all of us. According to those at CCXP's Marvel panel, it was revealed that Eternals would be relying heavily on mythological aspects, focusing on the foundations of mythology and human history as we know it. The footage allegedly saw the Eternals saving humans throughout several key points in history. One reporter at the event called the scale of the film "epic."

The Eternals will also be connected to a masterplan and help set up a new big villain that Marvel Studios is "already planning." Additionally, the Eternals know about the Avengers on Earth, but the Avengers don't know about the Eternals. Celestials were reported to play a big role in the film as well, according to CCXP guests.

Directed by Chloé Zhao with a screenplay by Matthew and Ryan Firpo, Eternals stars Richard Madden as Ikaris, Kumail Nanjiani as Kingo, Lauren Ridloff as Makkari, Brian Tyree Henry as Phastos, Salma Hayek as Ajak, Lia McHugh as Sprite, Don Lee as Gilgamesh, Angelina Jolie as Thena, Barry Keoghan as Druig, Gemma Chan as Sersi and Kit Harington as Dane Whitman, aka the Black Knight. The film arrives in theaters on Nov. 6, 2020.
