A trusted source for Marvel's Avengers alleged that developers would likely delay the release of She-Hulk due to problems with the game's budget.

According to PlayStation LifeStyle, infamous Marvel's Avengers leaker Miller claimed that She-Hulk was supposed to make her in-game debut in August 2021. However, staffing changes within studio developer Crystal Dynamics likely suspended She-Hulk's production. Team members also reportedly reallocated critical resources, choosing instead to focus on improving Marvel's Avengers' multiplayer experience and the development of Jane Foster, aka Mighty Thor. Despite the delays, Miller believed She-Hulk will still be released in the future, with the leaker stating that development on the hero will resume once Crystal Dynamics' parent company, Embracer Group, allocated a bigger budget and suitable manpower to the project.

Though Miller remained optimistic regarding She-Hulk's development, the leaker also revealed he was still skeptical of Marvel Avengers' future. When asked if he believed an influx of new players could revive the title, Miller said, "I've got to tell you, I'm not sure we ever will. There's only so much that I can say. I've had conversations in the last few weeks that paint a rather grim picture of the future. I was on record a few months ago saying I don't think we're going to make it to the 4.0 update series. I really don't see it. I mean, that's over a year away. We still have the whole 3.0 update series to get through."

Rumors of She-Hulk's impending release previously surfaced when a clip was taken from a live stream of Xbox's official Twitch channel, wherein guest streamer Techniq seemingly confirmed voice lines for She-Hulk were being recorded. Despite the accidental leak, Techniq refrained from mentioning the name of She-Hulk's voice actor, with the streamer only divulging that she was also his acting coach.

Though She-Hulk's exact release date remains unclear, Marvel's Avengers is already gearing up to add Bucky Barnes, aka the Winter Soldier, to its roster of playable characters. Crystal Dynamics spared no effort in promoting the game's latest hero, with several trailers showcasing glimpses of the American soldier turned Soviet assassin's tragic backstory and John Wick-type gameplay. The Winter Soldier will join Marvel's Avengers on Nov. 29 with the launch of Patch 2.7.

Marvel's Avengers is available for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and PC.
