Developer Crystal Dynamics reassures fans that new content is planned for Marvel's Avengers throughout 2022.

According to Senior Brand Manager Nick Edwards, Marvel's Avengers still has plenty of new updates lined up for players after the current roadmap concludes. Speaking to recent comments made by Game Director Phil Therien during a live stream, Edwards said, "If the core question is: Will there be content in 2022 after this roadmap? Yes. There is not currently any version of any internal plan where we stop updates at the end of the current roadmap." This reassurance comes after players were speculating that the recent addition of the Klaw Raid may be the last meaningful patch for Marvel's Avengers.

Edwards continued on to say, "We're not waiting for any binary green light decision. There's a plan, the team is excited to share with everyone when the work is further along, and people will be on that future content as soon as they're done making the current roadmap's content." Edwards did not elaborate on what kind of new content fans can look forward to but did remind them to "not parse live stream quotes too closely, they're informal by nature."

While players will no doubt be pleased to know that there's more on the way for Marvel's Avengers, the game currently received one of its most anticipated content drops: Spider-Man. Announced before the game officially launched, Peter Parker finally swung into the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 versions of the superhero brawler. The character was well-received by fans who praised his diverse range of costumes, unique traversal abilities and combat skillset. While many players are enjoying Spider-Man, his inclusion in the game was controversial; Spidey will be the only DLC character that is locked to a console-specific ecosystem.

Beyond the Web-Head, the last major patch for Marvel's Avengers added the Klaw Raid: Discordant Sound. The most challenging mission in the game, players will need to work as a team to repel Klaw's last-ditch attempt at destroying all of Wakanda. If successful, Earth's Mightiest Heroes will be rewarded with some of the best loot in the game but only if they survive the hordes of new enemies and complicated puzzles.

To make sure you catch all the future content coming to Marvel's Avengers, you can find the game on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC.
