A new leak suggests that Marvel's Avengers will soon be taking players to exciting, exotic locales like the moon and Boston.Twitter user @EddyZ115 uncovered a small collection of in-game files that seemingly confirm the new biomes coming to the live service superhero brawler. One of these levels is titled "Moon Base" while the other is "New England." Crystal Dynamics has yet to reveal any new information regarding upcoming locations but given the heavy emphasis on the term "Inhuman," which is used throughout the game, fans are speculating that the hyper-advanced society may soon be introduced. Other fans are speculating that A.I.M., Marvel's Avengers' core antagonistic organization, has taken its evil exploits into space.Related: Marvel's Avengers Brings a Classic Spider-Man Trope To its Gameplay

While the Moon Base could be a fun hint at Marvel's Avengers' next significant chapter, others believe the New England location could provide a clue regarding the identity of another playable character. Many speculate that Captain Marvel could soon appear in the game as Carol Danvers is a Bostonian who is often tasked with solving off-planet problems. Some think it could be Ironheart given that Riri Williams is canonically a student at MIT.

Fans will have to wait and see what these files culminate in but gamers can look forward to plenty of new content for Marvel's Avengers in 2022. While details regarding the next champion remain vague, a recent casting leak suggests that She-Hulk will be the next powerhouse to join Earth's Mightiest Heroes. Jennifer Walters will allegedly be played by Krizia Bajos, an accomplished voice actor most notable for her roles in League of Legends, Arcane and the upcoming Gotham Knights. Bajos has yet to officially comment on the casting and it's currently unknown whether She-Hulk is linked to the recently discovered files.

Despite a rocky launch, Marvel's Avengers managed to pull off a successful 2021 by adding plenty of new content that managed to please both players and fans. Beyond the addition of Clint Barton, Crystal Dynamics also successfully launched, War for Wakanda, the game's biggest expansion to date. The update added Black Panther as a playable character and an entirely new biome in the form of the fictional African nation of Wakanda. While players were enamored with the new content, many were quickly disappointed when it was announced that paid XP boosts would be added to the in-game store. Following a great deal of backlash, the decision was ultimately reversed.

Marvel's Avengers is available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC.
