Marvel's Avengers players can now unlock a new skin for Kate Bishop, which is based on the costume the Marvel Cinematic Universe version of the character wore in the Disney+ original series Hawkeye.

As announced by the official Marvel's Avengers Twitter account, Kate's MCU outfit is available in the Marketplace as of today, Jan. 20. "She'll need a bow and arrow," the caption reads. "Inspired by the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Kate's Marvel Studios' Hawkeye Outfit shows an archer meeting her favorite Avenger."

Created by Allan Heinberg and Jim Cheung, Kate Bishop/Hawkeye first appeared in 2005's Young Avengers #1. As a skilled archer with super-heroic asperations, Kate was the heir apparent to the seemingly-deceased Clint Barton, assuming the Hawkeye mantle with Captain America's blessing. Kate later appeared alongside Clint, the original Hawkeye, in writer Matt Fraction and artist David Aja's 2012 Hawkeye series. After the fact, Kate got her very own Hawkeye series from writer Kelly Thompson and artist Leonardo Romero in late 2016.

Played by Hailee Steinfeld, Kate made her MCU debut in the Marvel Studios series Hawkeye, which premiered its first two episodes on Disney+ on Nov. 24, 2021. The show ran for six episodes in total, concluding on Dec. 22. Marvel Studios' Hawkeye takes various visual and narrative cues from Fraction and Aja's Hawkeye. In it, Kate joins forces with her idol, Clint Barton (Jeremy Renner), to take on the band of criminals known as the Tracksuit Mafia, at which point a larger criminal conspiracy begins to unravel. By the time all is said and done, Clint seemingly passes the mantle of Hawkeye to Kate.

In addition to Steinfeld and Renner, Marvel Studios' Hawkeye stars Alaqua Cox as Maya Lopez/Echo, Tony Dalton as Jack Duquesne (known in the Marvel comics as Swordsman), Fra Fee as Kazimierz "Kazi" Kazimierczak (known in the comics as Clown), Vera Farmiga as Eleanor Bishop, Linda Cardellini as Laura Barton and Florence Pugh as Yelena Belova/Black Widow, among others. The series also features Vincent D'Onofrio, who reprises his role as Wilson Fisk/Kingpin from the Netflix series Marvel's Daredevil. Echo, a spinoff series starring the aforementioned Cox, is currently in the works at Disney+.

Developed by Crystal Dynamics and published by Square Enix, Marvel's Avengers is available now for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Microsoft Windows and Google Stadia.
