Crystal Dynamics' RPG hero brawler Marvel's Avengers delivered a new costume inspired by Iron Man's appearance in the Marvel Cinematic Universe's Captain America: Civil War.Tony Stark's new cosmetic is modeled after the MCU's Mark XLVI, which movie fans may recognize as the armor Tony wore during the iconic clash of the Avengers in the Leipzig-Halle Airport. "Don't choose the wrong side," the announcement said. "Inspired by the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Iron Man's Marvel Studios' Captain America: Civil War outfit shows a man resolutely fighting for what he believes in."Related: Hulk 'Worldbreaker' Monster Heart Costume Added to Marvel's Avengers

Built sometime after Avengers: Age of Ultron, the Mark XLVI was Tony's most powerful suit during the events of Captain America: Civil War. It incorporated most of the weaponry and features from previous versions of the Iron Man armor, including Tony's signature repulsors and miniature Arc Reactors. Though it granted its user a frightening amount of firepower, the suit was eventually destroyed in Civil War's climactic battle between Tony, Steve Rogers and Bucky Barnes, wherein Steve used his shield to destroy the suit's Arc Reactor.

Tony isn't the only hero in for an MCU-inspired transformation, as there are plenty more costumes to peruse for fans of the films. Marvel's Avengers previously released several skins based on Avengers: Infinity War, with movie-accurate costumes for Iron Man, Captain America and Thor. Spider-Man received a skin modeled after his design from his second standalone movie, Spider-Man: Far From Home. Hawkeye also gained a costume based on his appearance in Civil War alongside his partner Kate Bishop, who received her own attire taking after her look from the Disney+ series Hawkeye.

Despite its lackluster sales, the title was still one of the IPs included in the sale of most of Square Enix's western studios to the Swedish media and video game holding company Embracer Group. Embracer Group's CEO Lars Wingefors stated that the transaction also required the approval of the IP's licensor Disney, though no information has been revealed regarding the state of ongoing negotiations.

Marvel's Avengers is available for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Google Stadia and PC.
