Marvel's Avengers Exec Says Hawkeye Fans Should 'Stay Tuned'

When Square Enix dropped the trailer for Marvel's Avengers at E3, fans had one pressing question: Where's Hawkeye? The game appears to showcase the team's MCU roster, prominently featuring Captain America, Black Widow, Thor, Iron Man and Hulk. However, Clint Barton is mysteriously missing. According to an Executive for the game, Bill Rosemann, Hawkeye fans should keep an eye open.

The game also seems to feature characters outside of the MCU line up in some fashion or another, and allegedly has a boss fight with Taskmaster. Since Hawkeye is one of the Avengers' key players in both the comics and the MCU, it seems likely he'll eventually make his way into the game in one form or another.

The story takes place in a world that has turned its back on the Avengers after city-wide destruction ravaged their home. Despite mainly featuring six characters, Square Enix promised that more playable superheroes and missions will arrive as free post-launch updates. It's possible that Hawkeye will appear in one of these updates, or maybe even as part of the main story,.

Featuring Nolan North as Iron Man, Troy Baker as Bruce Banner, Laura Bailey as Black Widow, Jeff Schine as Captain America and Travis Willingham as Thor, Marvel's Avengers will be released May 15, 2020, for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC and Google Stadia.
