Ahead of its release, a video for the beta version of Marvel's Avengers has dropped on YouTube, which showcases various cosmetic upgrades for the playable characters.

First up is Iron Man. The Armored Avenger sports two different sets of armor; a red-and-gold design similar to his '70s era gear and a black and gold suit resembling the modular armor he sported during Kieron Gillen's run on the Iron Man comic. Black Widow also has two different costumes: one with silver hair and silver linings on her suit and a street clothing version with a hoodie and jeans.

The Hulk has an alternate costume that features a tank top with a fedora and brass knuckles alongside his signature purple pants. Finally, Ms. Marvel has one of the most unorthodox superhero costumes: a frog-shaped hat and Thor pajamas. Other characters such as Thor and newly announced DLC heroes Hawkeye and Spider-Man are also expected to sport alternate gear.

There will be three beta weekends to test the game. The first will take place between Aug. 7 and Aug. 9, and will be exclusive for PlayStation 4 preorders. The second beta weekend will be held from Aug. 14-16 and is exclusive to Xbox One and PC preorders and all PlayStation 4 gamers. Finally, the third beta weekend will take place from Aug. 21 to 23 and will be open to all players.

Developed by Crystal Dynamics and Eidos-Montréal and published by Square Enix, Marvel's Avengers arrives on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Google Stadia and PC on Sept. 4.
