Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. returns to ABC for its sixth season in less than a month, and the network has released a batch of characters posters featuring the main cast.
The eight, moodily lit posters show the return of the fan-favorite intelligence agency operatives, including Clark Gregg returning as the mysterious Phil Coulson doppelgänger nicknamed "Sarge."
Details about the sixth season are still being kept under wraps, but it's expected to take place approximately one year after the events of Avengers: Endgame.
In addition to the arrival of the sinister Coulson doppelgänger, following Coulson leaving to die peacefully in Tahiti with Melinda May at his side in the Season 5 finale, the sixth season also sees Mack step up into a leadership role as the new Director of S.H.I.E.L.D. As to how the returning characters deal with the doppelgänger's arrival has yet to be seen but will likely not go well.
Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is set to return to ABC on May 10 with 13 new episodes. The series stars Ming-Na Wen, Chloe Bennet, Henry Simmons, Iain De Caestecker, Natalia Cordova-Buckley, Elizabeth Henstridge and Clark Gregg.
