Previously advertised in promotional material as an 8-part television event, Marvel.com's announcement bills "Agent Carter" as a seven-part miniseries, implying that the two-hour premiere was originally intended to be two hourlong episodes. The series is set to air during the midseason hiatus for "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." in the same timeslot.

Written by Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeeley, "Agent Carter" stars Hayley Atwell, Dominic Cooper, Chad Michael Murray, Enver Gjokaj, James D'Arcy, Shea Wigham, Lyndsy Fonseca and Bridget Regan. The premiere episode hits January 6.
