Marvel Comics will bring the “Zombies Assemble” manga series to the West for the first time beginning next month. The series adaptation will be accompanied by numerous cover variants depicting Marvel’s greatest heroes going up against hordes of the walking dead and longtime foes alike.

“Zombies Assemble” is an adaptation of “Avengers: Zombies Assemble” created by Yusaku Komiyama, who's best known “Ixion Saga.” The series will be adapted for English-speaking audiences by “Thunderbolts” writer Jim Zub.

Arriving May 10, the first issue of "Zombies Assemble” will feature variant covers by “The Walking Dead” artist Tony Moore. It will be followed May 31 by the second issue, with a variant by Greg Horn. “Zombies Assemble” #0 will be available later, with variant covers by Nic Klein and David Nakayama.

“Zombies Assemble” brings together a Marvel Cinematic Universe-inspired version of the Avengers to contain a zombie outbreak and keep the hordes of ravenous undead from becoming a full-blown planetary epidemic.
