After a delay caused by the ongoing coronavirus (COVID-19) halting shipments of new comics, Marvel Comics will release X of Swords, the first X-Men crossover event since writer Jonathan Hickman started guiding the franchise, in September. Now, the publisher has revealed an official X of Swords checklist for the 24-part event.

X of Swords kicks off with two prelude issues in September's Excalibur #12 and X-Men #12. The first official chapter begins in X of Swords: Creation #1 by Hickman and artist Pepe Larraz, which features Apocalypse and his original Four Horsemen on the cover. Chapter 2 is in X-Factor #4 by writer Leah Williams and artist Carlos Gomez, and has a cover by Ivan Shavrin that finds the team that investigates mutant deaths standing in front of a person emerging from a resurrection egg on fire.
