As fans await the introduction of mutants, specifically the X-Men, into the Marvel Cinematic Universe, there is speculation on how it will happen. There are theories that Storm could appear in Black Panther 2. Some speculate that it may be another mutant that will be the first to appear, perhaps as early as the end of this year.

The X-Men are coming, and it would be more to form if they are meted out slowly at first. It could be after-credits scenes, cameos, or the inclusion of a mutant as a minor supporting character. Here are ten mutants that would make for some of the best cameos in future Marvel Studios projects.

10 Namor

Namor would be a great cameo, but he would not set the stage for the X-Men. In the MCU, Namor doesn't even need to be a mutant. His existence has been hinted at in the after-credits scene of Iron Man 2, with one of Nick Fury's map locations centered in the ocean, where Atlantis would be located.

Namor is a mutant, albeit not primarily known as one, hence his inclusion on this list. This can be acknowledged by making him more human and Atlanteans more alien in their appearance. Namor's MCU debut is just a matter of time. The biggest question is whether his identity as a mutant will be kept.

9 Pixie

Pixie has the unique benefit of a mystical appearance. With her faerie-like appearance, she could easily show up in Doctor Strange 2, perhaps learning from the good Doctor that her powers aren't mystical in origin.

Pixie also signals the existence of mutants hidden in the history of the MCU. Her biological father is Mastermind, an original member of Magneto's Brotherhood of Mutants. If Pixie's cameo is with Doctor Strange, it could also signal the existence of a particular school upstate that might help her.

8 El Aguila

El Aguila is a little known mutant in Marvel Comics. He operates as a Zorro-style vigilante, which often places him on the wrong side of the police. It's this role that makes him a prime candidate for a cameo.

With the idolatry of super-heroes in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, it's only natural that would-be imitators will pop up. El Aguila could simply be shown being dragged into custody for going after drug dealers with a sword. It also casts a subtle signal to observant fans that mutants exist in the MCU.

7 Nocturne

With the upcoming, Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness, the MCU Multiverse will be established at long last. It's a perfect opportunity to include a mutant cameo or two. If the MCU is going to put mutants and the Multiverse in the same context, it only seems right to include one of the Exiles.

Nocturne makes sense in one big respect, and it is her parentage. She is the daughter of Nightcrawler and also has Scarlet Witch for her mother, who is to feature heavily in the second Doctor Strange film. Nocturne checks off so many boxes, it wouldn't be surprising to see her in the MCU.

6 Sage

Tessa started in the comics as a servant to the Hellfire Club's Inner Circle. It was later retconned that she was a spy for Charles Xavier. It's in this role that she could gain a cameo in the MCU. Her appearance is nondescript and she could conceivably be a double agent, spying on someone in the MCU for someone else.

Simply showing Tessa as a spy makes her status as a mutant known only to comic fans. Since her mind works like a supercomputer, she can fit into multiple roles within the MCU. Simply referring to herself as Tessa and/or Sage signals her actual role.

5 Warlock

Warlock from the New Mutants reaches toward the reader.

Warlock is a unique mutant that is from an alien race, which means he can easily show up in the MCU. It might be little more than an Easter Egg, but the appearance of this member of the New Mutants would reward observant fans looking for mutants in the MCU.

An advantage of a Warlock cameo is that he doesn't need to be named. This avoids the natural confusion with Adam Warlock, who is expected to debut soon in the MCU.

4 Madame Web

Madame Web is a mutant that hasn't been associated with the X-Men. However, she has been associated with Spider-Man, who has another movie on the horizon. There are few details but including a mysterious old woman with an uncanny ability to tell the future could be interesting.

Madame Web's identity as a mutant doesn't even have to be featured, although a mention could be made to her having her powers since she was a teenager. This is a big signal that mutants are coming and have existed for many years.

3 Forge

Storm X-men

Forge has had a relationship with the American Government and could make for an excellent cameo in the MCU. The franchise has seen Nick Fury working with Skrulls, but what about his Earth-bound contacts? With Tony Stark no longer around to work on technology for the government, the void could be filled by Forge.

Forge also allows for a mutant known by fans to show up without affecting the story by saying, "Hey! Look! It's a mutant!" Of course, with Forge introduced, it's only a hop, skip, and a jump to an after-credits scene where Forge contacts a secret customer, a school in the upstate.

2 Doop

Doop is one of those characters that just instantly clicked. He's an excellent source of comedy in X-Force and X-Statix. Throughout his existence, Doop's legend and deadliness have escalated. Wolverine once employed him as the Jean Grey School's secret protector of the students.

Doop may or may not be an actual mutant. His origin has been given several different ways. However, his proximity to mutants earns him a place on this list.

1 Dazzler

15 Things Everyone Gets Wrong About The X-Men

Dazzler has a devoted fan base. Giving her a cameo in a Marvel movie would be astounding to see. Having originated as part of the disco trend, it makes sense to introduce her as a product of that era. This allows for Dazzler to be one of the first mutants to be seen in public, albeit unknown to those seeing her powers displayed on stage.

If she does appear, it would most likely be as a cameo. It could be as subtle as it was in the deleted scene from the film Age of Apocalypse, or even her brief appearance in Dark Phoenix. Someone could have an album by Dazzler. She could appear on television or simply a poster somewhere in New York City. It would signal that the X-Men are coming to MCU.
