The following contains spoilers for Storm & The Brotherhood of Mutants #3, on sale now from Marvel Comics.

Marvel's Sins of Sinister event reintroduces Emma Frost under a new name, and with a startling new body.

In the pages of Storm & The Brotherhood of Mutants #3 by writer Al Ewing and artist Alessandro Vitti, Sinister and his would be allies work to bring Storm/Ororo back to life. Meanwhile, now the unfeeling queen of the Red Diamond Empire, Emma Frost is busy preparing an all out assault on their forces, the likes of which have never been seen. While Emma herself is a formidable foe, the towering, diamond-composed mech she has kept hidden is even more so. After becoming one with the massive robot body, Emma Frost is ready to unveil herself to the universe as the Blood Diamond Monarch.

A giant mech, the Blood Diamond Monarch, designed like Emma Frost floats in Space while wielding a massive whip.

Since her introduction in the pages of 1979's Uncanny X-Men #129 by creators Chris Claremont and John Byrne, Emma Frost has stood as one of the most intimidating mutants and leaders the Marvel Universe has to offer. Apart from the impenetrable diamond form Emma is iconic for, she is also one of Marvel's preeminent psychics, boasting the status of an Omega Class telepath on top of the array of martial and tactical skills she has acquired over the years.

What the X-Men Face in Marvel’s Sins of Sinister Event

As for Sins of Sinister, the Marvel event has brought readers into the far-flung future, Storm & The Brotherhood of Mutants #3 taking place nearly one thousand years after the fall of mutantkind. Thanks to the machinations of Nathaniel Essex, AKA Mister Sinister, nearly every mutant who was brought back through the Krakoan Resurrection Protocols did so with the mind of Sinister latched onto their own. This resulted in the villain effectively taking over the world before he was pitted against various iterations of himself, all with their own villainous agendas to tend to.

Sins of Sinister has also seen Storm take it upon herself to ensure that no one acquires Sinister's army of Moira MacTaggart clones, which are capable of resetting the timeline to just before Essex's plot took off. Rather than put things back to the way they were to avoid centuries-long suffering, Storm took great pains to make sure that no one would ever claim the power of the MacTaggert clones for themselves.

Storm & The Brotherhood of Mutants #3 is written by Al Ewing with art by Alessandro Vitti, colors by Rain Beredo, letters by VC's Ariana Maher and designs by Jay Bowen. Main cover art is done by Leinil Francis Yu and Matt Milla, with variant cover artwork courtesy of Salva Larroca, Milla and Joshua Swaby. The issue is now on sale from Marvel Comics.
