The rogue's gallery featured throughout the Spider-Man series are some of the most iconic in all of comic books. Each villain has an amazingly crafted backstory and features a set of key qualities and personality traits brought on by these many origin stories that accompany them.

Well, we thought it would be fun to connect each of these villains to a Chinese Zodiac sign that fit alongside the amazing traits of the Web-Slinger's many fearsome foes. For those curious, this list will tell exactly who you may be associated with due to your Chinese Zodiac sign.

12 YEAR OF THE RAT: CHAMELEON

Rats are one of the weaker creatures on the Chinese Zodiac due to their small size but these little animals are sharp and very quick on their feet. They are ready for just about every situation and are able to sneak even into the smallest spaces.

This is just like Spidey's sneaky villain Chameleon, a foe who can sneak into anywhere with his "master of disguise" assets. He may not be the strongest enemy but that doesn't take away from his danger factor that is brought up in other skill areas.

11 YEAR OF THE OX: RHINO

The ox is a very stubborn animal and definitely isn't the smartest of the bunch. No matter what they remain headstrong and literally use their head to deal with anything and anyone giving them trouble. Steer clear of their horns.

How could the Rhino himself not be associated with the year of the ox? All of these traits perfectly describe the character. Even in the worst of circumstances, anyone can be sure that Rhino will expect his huge size and sharp horn to handle the situation.

10 YEAR OF THE TIGER: KRAVEN

Tigers are some of the most cunning predators in the jungle. These animals are confident and courageous. They let nothing deter them from the hunt and will fight just about anything.

This is something that is clearly reflected by the great hunter, Kraven. Kraven is a master of the hunt and wears this title with pride. He fears absolutely nothing and wants to hunt down any and everything that poses a challenge to him.

9 YEAR OF THE RABBIT: VENOM

Responsible, down-to-earth, and compassionate. These are three traits commonly associated with those that fall under the Chinese Zodiac of the year of the rabbit.

These three traits also describe Spider-Man's sometimes friend and sometimes foe, Eddie Brock, AKA Venom. Venom was brought about by his hatred for Spidey, but when an even greater foe appears and is even a product of his hatred he will even team up with his nemesis to take down this greater threat.

8 YEAR OF THE DRAGON: DOCTOR OCTOPUS

Doctor Octopus is the poster boy for Spider-Man villains. Unlike the Green Goblin, many look at Doctor Octopus as an inspiration and a trustworthy leader as seen with the many times he's led the Sinister Six with his confidence and intelligence.

These traits are shared with the year of the dragon. Much like Doc Ock, dragons have their fair share of gleaming confidence and knowledge.

7 YEAR OF THE SNAKE: MYSTERIO

A creature of mystery that is as clever as it gets. Snakes always find a way to sneak around and get what they want while not being the scariest or evil creatures around.

Mysterio falls under this category as he always finds a way to use his mysterious "magic" to do whatever he needs. He also isn't even close to the evilest of Spidey's foes.

6 YEAR OF THE HORSE: GREEN GOBLIN

The free creature that will gallop wherever it wants whenever it wants. Full of energy, horses are some of the most unrelenting animals there are.

The Green Goblin is just like this. However, he glides instead of gallops. He is bursting with energy and can never be stopped by Spidey forever.

5 YEAR OF THE SHEEP: LIZARD

The Lizard from Amazing Spider-Man comics

The year of the sheep reflects those that are kind and soft creatures.

While the Lizard himself isn't the softest, he actually is a kind man beneath the scaley exterior. Doctor Curtis Connor was transformed into the Lizard while trying to create a formula to grow his arm back. When he isn't the Lizard he is a loving father and husband.

4 YEAR OF THE MONKEY: CARNAGE

Curiosity, endless energy, and a sense of humor. The year of the monkey is for those that fall under these traits.

Three traits that perfectly describe Carnage. A cold-hearted murderer is curious on how he can best torture his targets before ending their life while he laughs the entire time.

3 YEAR OF THE ROOSTER: KINGPIN

Roosters are those that are independent and hardworking. They let nothing take their focus away from their main goal.

The Kingpin is a man that works alone and never stops working. This crimelord doesn't let anything come above his mission of becoming the most powerful man in New York.

2 YEAR OF THE DOG: SANDMAN

The dog is a loyal creature that would never betray its partner. Sometimes that partner is a partner in crime.

This is the case of Sandman, who in many pieces of Spidey media is depicted as one of the more loyal partners in the villain team-ups.

1 YEAR OF THE PIG: ELECTRO

Pigs are depicted as generous, diligent, and compassionate when it comes to the Chinese Zodiac.

Electro is a man that fell under these during his electrician job before his transformation. Now he is a very generous man when it comes to his everlasting supply of electric energy. He has diligence when it comes to plans of taking down Spider-Man but is very compassionate when it comes to those he loves.
