Two years after Marvel Television shuttered its lineup of shows on Netflix — Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Iron FistThe Defenders and The Punisher — the company is rumored to be bringing back some of those characters to the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).

A post on That Hastag Show speculated that actors Jon Bernthal, Charlie Cox, Vincent D'Onofrio and Krysten Ritter would reprise their roles as the Punisher, Daredevil, Kingpin and Jessica Jones, respectively, in upcoming Disney+ TV shows or MCU films during Phase 4 and Phase 5.

Cox is said to have a cameo in Spider-Man: No Way Home, but it is not specified if he will appear as Daredevil or his alter ego, lawyer Matt Murdock. D'Onofrio may have a guest appearance as Wilson Fisk/Kingpin in Hawkeye and in Echo. The Disney+ show Ritter and Bernthal may pop up was not identified. Though these actors would play the same characters from the Netflix programs, the new movies and TV series will not bring up their Netflix backstories.

Marvel is said to be recasting Iron Fist and Luke Cage, which would put Finn Jones and Mike Colter out of the picture.

Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Iron Fist, The Defenders and The Punisher were made by Marvel Television before it was folded into Marvel Studios. They streamed on Netflix between 2015 and 2019.
