The very same Weapon X program that had created Wolverine was secretly working on a new project, one much deadlier than the famous X-Man. After capturing Clayton Cortez, an ex-military mercenary, the scientists at Weapon X infused the DNA of several superhumans, including Hulk and Wolverine, into this new subject.
This ended up creating one of the most powerful beings on the planet. Weapon H has the combined powers of many of Earth's deadliest superhumans and also the military experience to use them with great effectiveness. Of the many powers Cortez received, here are the top ten, ranked.
10 Agility
Although he is a monster the size of the Hulk, Weapon H is also as nimble as an experienced acrobat. This is most likely due to him acquiring the powers of Warpath. An experienced member of the X-Men, Warpath is one of the most agile mutants to ever appear on the team's roster.
Warpath has shown the ability to move with great grace and bend his body with superhuman flexibility. Such powers added to Weapon H's arsenal are simply icing on the cake. He doesn't need them, but with them at his disposal, it's hard to imagine anyone stopping him.
9 Leaping
Much like the incredible Hulk, Cortez is able to travel great distances simply by leaping. This ability is incredibly important, as it gives Weapon H a useful mode of traversal.
If Weapon H ever needs to chase down a target, or perhaps run away from some sort of danger, he can easily travel great distances in a short amount of time by utilizing this ability.
8 Superspeed
Weapon H also received superspeed from the mutant Warpath. Although some of the other superhumans DNA he was implanted with also have superspeed, Warpath is by far the fastest.
At his top speeds, Warpath can reach close to 90 miles per hour. Imagine something as terrifying as Weapon H coming towards you at such high speeds. He is an absolute nightmare. There are only a few speedsters in the Marvel universe, leaving very few superhumans fast enough to keep up with Weapon H.
7 Enhanced Senses
The enhanced senses of both Wolverine and Warpath give Weapon H a huge advantage on the battlefield. Not only can he track his enemies for extremely long distances, but Cortez can also use his many senses to tell if anyone is close to him.
From Wolverine, Weapon H has gained the abilities of enhanced smell, sight, and hearing. He can see for great distances with total clarity and can also see in the dark. Weapon H can also detect sounds at frequencies undetectable to the normal human.
6 Healing
From both Hulk and Wolverine, Cortez gained an incredible healing factor. He can regenerate entire limbs and recover from the most devastating of injuries. Even if you somehow managed to hurt Weapon H, there is no way he would stay hurt for very long.
Wolverine's healing factor has made him one of the most powerful superhumans in the world. He has even been able to go toe to toe with the Hulk because of this power. Adding that healing factor to the incredible strength of the Hulk makes for an unstoppable combination.
5 Retractable Claws
Just like Wolverine, Weapon H has had his entire skeleton laced with adamantium. Not just that, he also was given the same retractable claws that Wolverine is so famous for. With these adamantium claws combined with his strength, there is virtually no object that this deadly experiment cannot cut through.
In addition to the claws coming out of his hands, Weapon H also has adamantium bone protruding from all sorts of different points on his body. These additional adamantium bones give Weapon H some added protection against attack.
4 Probability Field Generation
One of the many superhumans whose DNA was added to the Weapon H program was that of Domino. Unlike many of the other power sets Weapon H possesses, Domino's is not as physical. Instead, her abilities involved probability disruption.
In layman's terms, Weapon H can make himself lucky, while also making his opponents unlucky. This power has limitless applications, and although Weapon H does not have 100% control over it, nonetheless this ability offers him a huge advantage during battle.
3 Invulnerability
The combined strengths of Warpath and Hulk give Weapon H near invulnerability. His skin is as dense as can be possible, and his muscles so strong that any normal weapon would not be able to affect him whatsoever. The Hulk has shown the incredible ability to withstand some of the most powerful blows and explosions possible in the known galaxy. Adding such high levels of defense to a weapon as offensively capable as Weapon H makes him truly unstoppable.
Even if one was able to pierce this deadly experiments impenetrable skin, he also has adamantium grafted to his entire bone structure. Much in the same way that Wolverine has been able to survive deadly attacks because of his unbreakable bones, Weapon H benefits in the exact same way. He is simply too overpowered to hurt, and even if you did manage to damage him, Weapon H would heal in seconds.
2 Adamantium Skeleton Manipulation
Given the fact that Cortez has to transform back and forth between his Hulk and human forms, one would think that grafting adamantium to his skin would make this impossible. That is not the case. Weapon H has the additional ability of manipulating the adamantium that is within his body. This allows him to cause it to decrease in size to fit his bone structure when turning back into his human form, or vice versa.
Cortez can also shoot adamantium out of his body. He can simply point his claws at someone, shoot them out at an enemy, and then grow new ones with additional adamantium. Given Cortez's experience in the military, he has pinpoint accuracy making this ability a quite deadly one.
1 Super Strength
Perhaps the best ability of the lot is Weapon H's strength. Just like the incredible Hulk, the full upper limits of his strength are not fully known. Despite this one thing is for sure, he is at least as strong as the Hulk.
This Hulk-like strength comes with some disadvantages as well. The angrier Cortez gets, the stronger he gets. However, Weapon H can get lost in his own mad rage causing him to make big mistakes or hurt any bystanders. As long as he keeps control there is no one who can stop Weapon H.
