There are many supervillains from Marvel Comics that are defined by their relationships with their children. From Magneto's numerous children to Green Goblin's toxic influence on his children, many villains have been defined by their relationship with their children. The relationship between villains and their kids can go in many different ways with some villains turning good due to their children's influence and others using them as pawns in their evil schemes.

While some of Marvel's villains have some very known children, there are some that have fallen between the cracks. This article seeks to rectify this disservice by examining ten major Marvel villains with obscure children.

10 Galactus

Galactus is a villain that needs no introduction as one of fiction's most well-known planet eater. Galactus is the last survivor of a previous incarnation of the universe and his survival left him transformed into a powerful cosmic force whose hunger can only be sated by planets. Not the sort of character you expect to have children.

Despite the issues for a giant cosmic having a child, Galactus does have a daughter named Galacta. Galatca, whose only appearance is in Adam Warren's and Hector Sevilla Lujan's Galacta: Daughter of Galactus, suffers from the same planet-size hunger as her father. Unlike her father, Galatca does not consume planets instead she sates her hunger by consuming the bioforce of dangerous viruses.

9 Vulture

Spider-Man battles the Vulture

While the Vulture's Marvel Cinematic Universe counterpart is the father of that universe's version of Liz Allen, the 616's version is not. Despite not being the father of a notable Spider-Man's supporting cast members, the comic book version of the Vulture does have some children of his own.

The oldest known is Valeria Toomes, who is an agent of S.H.I.E.L.D. Her only appearance is the 2004 miniseries, Identity Disc, where she hires a team of super villains to retrieve a disc containing their identity to prevent A.I.M from blackmailing her with her father's identity. More recently it was revealed in Saladin Ahmed's run on Miles Morales: Spider-Man that the Vulture has a son named Frankie, who is the father of the vigilante Starling.

Erik Killmonger is a villain who's seen his star rise in recent years thanks to his memorable role in 2018's Black Panther. This newfound popularity has led to him receiving a miniseries last year. Despite the reveal, this was Killmonger's son's only appearance, so far.

7 Mandarin

The Mandarin

The Mandarin is Iron Man's most long-established foes, having fought Iron Man on multiple occasions since the 1960s. This hostility is one that goes spans the generations as two of the Mandarin's children have become a part of Iron Man's rogues' gallery.

The first introduced child of the Mandarin is Temugin. First introduced during a period that the Mandarian was though dead, Temugin sought to defeat Iron Man to avenge his father. More recently a second child of the Mandarian was introduced named Sasha Hammer, Sasha, also the granddaughter of Justin Hammer first appeared aiding Ezekial Stane in his plan to avenge his father by defeating Iron Man.

6 Sandman

Sandman

While the version of Sandman shown in the third Sam Rami's Spider-Man movie had a daughter, the comic book version was not known to have any kids. That statement has, however, somewhat changed in recent years.

The girl that Sandman thinks is his daughter, Keemia Alvarado was the daughter of a woman that Sandman was in a relationship with some years ago. During the "Gauntlet" storyline, Sandman finds out about her existence and her mother's death. Sandman then decided to kidnap Keemia and take her to a giant sandcastle that he created for her to live like a princess.

5 Mastermind

mastermind

Despite being the main instigator behind the classic "Dark Phoenix Saga", Mastermind is an underused villain, despite his role in a major X-men storyline. This lack of use is mainly a result of him being dead since the mid-90s. Despite his death, Mastermind's legacy lives on through his three known children.

Mastermind has three daughters, who have all inherited his illusionary powers. The oldest of his daughters inherited the title of Mastermind and was a minor foe of Wolverine. The second oldest took the title of Lady Mastermind and served both as an ally and enemy for the X-Men. The youngest is the most well known of Mastermind's children, Pixie, who is a member of the X-Men was long unaware of her father's true identity.

4 Apocalypse

En Sabah Nur, aka Apocalypse, clenches his fist in rage.

During the last year, Apocalypse's status as a villain has become a bit debatable. He has long been a foe of the X-Men and their related teams for a long time. While Apocalypse has long been known to having many living descents, not many know that he had a son in modern times.

Apocalypse had this son with his Horseman, Famine. Introduced during Rick Remender's "Dark Angel Saga"  as one of Archangel's allies in his plan to recreate the world with the codename of Genocide. He would later die in a confrontation with Magento's X-Men team during the "Apocalypse Wars" crossover.

3 M.O.D.O.K.

The weirdest looking of Marvel's most well-known Supervillains, the Scientist Supreme of the terrorist organization A.I.M is more well known for his bizarre appearance than any of his acts of villainy. One thing not well-known fact about M.O.D.O.K. was that he was an ordinary scientist before being transformed into his current appearance. It was before this transformation that M.O.D.O.K would sire a son.

M.O.D.O.K.'s son going by the codename of Head Case would join A.I.M during a storyline where Captain Marvel, at the time still called Ms. Marvel, took on A.I.M. Angered by his father's abandonment, Head Case would plot to overthrow M.O.D.O.K. as commander of A.I.M. This plan, thanks to Ms. Marvel's actions, would succeed. What Head Case was not planning on was that he would be shot by one of M.O.D.O.K.'s loyalists and force into a robot body.

2 Deathbird

Evil princess Deathbird is the sister of Empress Lilandra

Deathbird might be known for her major role in various storylines invoking the X-Men going into space, but she is also a mother. The first established of Deathbird's children are the Imperial guardsmen Black Light and White Noise. Surprisingly they have only one notable appearance. That only appearance would be in a Starjammer miniseries, where they participated in Deathbird's plot to steal the Phoenix Force from Rachel Summers. Deathbird would also have a child with Vulcan that would become the center of a plot by the secretive Providian Order to create a single perfect race from its DNA.

Deathbird's most well-known child would the character of Deathcry. Deathcry would both be a major character in the Avengers storyline "Operation: Galactic Storm" and a member of the Avengers. She joined the team after becoming alienated by the Shi'ar's action during their war with the Kree.

1 Doctor Doom

Perhaps no villain on this list needs no introduction like Doctor Doom.  A long time Fantastic Four villain, Doctor Doom is Marvel's most well-known supervillain.  Because of this prestige, several villains have claimed to be his child. Despite these claims, there is only one character in the mainline Marvel universe who is a child of Doctor Doom.

The only established character, who is a child of Docter Doom, would be Caroline le Fay. She was the result of a relationship between Morgan la Fey of Arthurian legend and a time-traveling Doctor Doom.  At some point, she was sent to the recent past to be raised by Morgan's followers.  By the present day, Caroline is the head of the company Umbral Dynamics that would have run-ins with the Valkyrie's Defender Team and Deadpool's Merc for Money.
