Marvel Comics will celebrate the 40th anniversary of "Star Wars: A New Hope" in 2017 by publishing 48 special edition variant covers highlighting scenes from the iconic film.

StarWars.com reports the covers will receive a new logo and border treatment which include a 40th-anniversary logo and images of the Death Star, tie-fighters and the Millenium Falcon. Variant covers for the three ongoing "Star Wars" comics were revealed, including "Star Wars: Doctor Aphra" #3 by Juan Gimenez, "Star Wars: Poe Dameron" #10 by Stuart Immonen, and "Star Wars" #27 by Ryan Stegman. Other covers include illustrations from artists Michael Walsh, Mike Mayhew, Michael Laming, David Lopez, and Kevin Wada.
The 48 "Star Wars: A New Hope" themed variant covers will be distributed throughout 2017. Take a look at the covers revealed thus far, below:
