Marvel Unleashes New Captain America: Civil War Concept Art

With "Captain America: Civil War" now available for home viewing on every platform imaginable, Marvel Studios has unleashed an avalanche of concept art from the blockbuster, showcasing key scenes, as well as alternate costume designs for some characters.

In addition to illustrations of the airport battle and showdowns between Captain America and Black Panther, and Captain America and Iron Man, we get a peek at unused costumes for Winter Soldier, Scarlet Witch, Black Panther and The Vision. But that's only for starters.

Directed by Joe and Anthony Russo, "Captain America: Civil War" finds Steve Rogers leading the Avengers in their continued efforts to safeguard humanity. But after another incident involving the Avengers results in collateral damage, political pressure mounts to install a system of accountability, headed by a governing body to oversee and direct the team. The new status quo fractures the Avengers, resulting in two camps—one led by Steve Rogers and his desire for the Avengers to remain free to defend humanity without government interference, and the other following Tony Stark’s surprising decision to support government oversight and accountability.

The film, which earned $1.1 billion worldwide, stars Chris Evans, Robert Downey Jr., Scarlett Johansson, Sebastian Stan, Anthony Mackie, Emily VanCamp, Don Cheadle, Jeremy Renner, Chadwick Boseman, Paul Bettany, Elizabeth Olsen, Paul Rudd and Frank Grillo, with William Hurt and Daniel Brühl.
