New promotional images for the upcoming Timeless (2022) #1 one-shot, which stars Kang the Conqueror, tease major changes are coming to the Marvel Universe.
Timeless (2022) #1 is a new one-shot releasing this December from Marvel Comics. The publisher released a new set of promotional images that teases a "missing moment" the story will revolve around. One teaser sees Kang tell an alien-looking creature, "Every moment save one," to which the alien responds, "Ah. I understand. You seek the missing moment." Another image sees Kang falling through time while images of Miles Morales/Spider-Man, New York City Mayor Luke Cage, the X-Men's Bishop and Surge surround him. Text below the latter of the two teasers reads, "Have I reached my limits? Is this the point where I cease to be Kang, and begin to be Immortus?"
Marvel also released two other Timeless (2022) #1 teasers introducing Myrddin, Kang's new arch-rival, and a mysterious team called the Twilight Court. Text in the Myrddin teaser contains clues toward the missing moment in Marvel history. It reads, "Is that why you haven't understood the main aspect of the Missing Moment? Of the Tribulation Events?"
Timeless (2022) Could Mark Kang's Final Battle
Timeless (2022) #1 -- from writer Jed Mackay and artists Salvador Larroca, Greg Land and Patch Zircher -- is the second Marvel one-shot to use the Timeless name. Timeless (2021) #1 from Mackay, Land, Mark Bagley and Kev Walker also saw Kang the Conqueror get a glimpse into the future, which then set up a handful of new events for 2022. The synopsis for Timeless (2022) #1 reads, "A SHOCKING LOOK AT THE MARVEL UNIVERSE TO COME IN 2023! The last battle of Kang the Conqueror! Tyrant of the timeline, master of endless legions, warrior and conqueror without compare, Kang is in search of the one thing he cannot have. But he is not the only one after the Missing Moment, and Kang soon finds himself in a new position—on the run across the events of the Marvel Universe’s future!"
"Kang is back on another adventure – but could this be his last one?" MacKay previously teased of Timeless (2022). "Once again, we step into the Conqueror's thigh-high boots to go stamping through the future. But this time Kang is in an unfamiliar position: fleeing.
